Tough Enough: Graveyard Edition (a you choose story)(pg4 up)

(I really want to write this, I think it is a good idea)

You go to turn on an episode of Raw and after the opening comes up, it is shaken by static. All of a sudden there is a scrapping sound of a shovel on gravel and dirt. A mma glove tightly gripping it and digging. It is dark and cold with trees leaning in the back ground. The shot continues and pans from the shovel up the tattooed arm and to the cold stare of that familiar face.
"Many think that they can hold their own in the ring... how many have tried....oh how many have failed. I decided to search for the select few that will compete to land a spot in my training camp and then to that squared circle. For those of you who don't know I am The Undertaker and this is Tough Enough my way, my rules" He grabs the camera (actually making the camera man jump) and stares into the lense "Come Try out, if you dare," he turns his eyes up and growls.

Your eyes widen to see, as the camera pans backward revealing a ring sized ditch with no mat but roped turnbuckles. At the end of the promo the screen quickly flashes www. tegraveyard .com. You smile to yourself, you've been waiting to tryout for the longest and now you see your chance...do you take it? Are you willing to step into the Deadman's ring and train under the Phenom? Are You Tough Enough?

(Edit: Just use your imagination and choose how your story will go below.) the more the better!)

TRYOUTS

You stand there tapping your foot in excitement. It doesn’t help that the cold air is also making you shiver slightly. “when is this thing going to start?” you wonder to yourself. You decide to turn around and see how long the tryout line has gotten since you’ve been standing there. It looks like at least a hundred people are lined up, and from all walks of life. The gym was giant and built out of grey and black cinder blocks, it reminded you of a poorly built school or a well built prison, but that didn’t shake you, you know some things, you’re in good shape, right?

The people in front of you shift and move and the doors slide open. The first few are directed in by someone you can’t see just yet. It just dawns on you that you don’t know how to present yourself once you get in, “Okay just show confidence and go from there,” you say to yourself. Just then a woman runs out crying, she didn’t even make it pass the first step? Another man stepped out and began to knock his head against the wall in regret. “What is going on?” you said underneath your breath . “I don’t know but I’m not going out this early,” you say to yourself. You make it to the door it is your turn, your chance to show that you are tough enough. You take a deep breath and step into the door, when a huge hand stops you…

“TOO WEAK!” a large man says in a deep voice. His statement was like a punch to the gut for you. This man had a black shirt with the Undertaker’s symbol on his chest . You stare at him, he must be an employee here…

(Do you ? A. Continue pass him?, B. Leave?, C. Let the writer pick?)(post your answer)

TRYOUTS Cont.
So you look at this massive guy, as if he is two inches short and say “Get out of my way,” he steps aside with the tiniest of smiles and lets you pass. You are pointed down this dark corridor and into this big room. It is pitch black there, as you tip toe your way in, you hear a voice from a speaker and a spot light turns on “Stand there,” you move to the spot light and stand there. “Who are you?” the voice said and you answer.
“And you think you are tough enough?” “I don’t THINK. I KNOW,” the voice laughs and you recognize it to be The Undertaker. “I think you’re full of it! Leave now and save yourself the embarrassment,” he says. “Is this what you call an interview?” the words come out of your mouth before you can stop yourself. You figure you might as well continue, “I see that you are trying to psych me out, but it isn’t working. I thought you were the king of mind games, more like the king of lame theatrics.” As you finished speaking you fold your arms over your chest and wait. There was a long period of silence.

TYROUTS Cont
(B. Answer)
You decide to stand your ground. You hear a buzz and then a door on your far right opens. “You have confidence, how be it a big mouth…you passed this step, Dirt, see you at the next round”

You were happy but you held it inside and walked to the open door. You make your way through. In this room there is a ring with twenty chairs in four rows in side of it. You notice only a few people there. “Sit there” another guy, like the one at the door, directs you. So, you grip your gear bag tightly and bend to enter the ropes. You take your sit and wait. It seems like forever and a day until someone else makes it in. “Hi ! I’m Ashlee,” she says with a chipper in her tone. It didn’t even dawn on you to introduce yourself to the other few that were there, and why should you? They‘re your competition. “Um. Hi” you finally say. You wonder to yourself, how did this ‘Ashlee’ get in? She seems more like a cheerleader than a wrestler. You decide to look at who had made it so far. There was you, Ashlee, and three others. Only five you thought, “Well,” you stated. “I know, not much competition here,” a guy said as he leaned back into his chair, “Name’s James, James Roberts, by the way,” he finished. You introduce yourself to him and he nods. “I’m Bobby” the next person said . “I’m Shane Brody,” he said as he taped his wrists. “What are you doing?” Bobby said to Shane “I’m staying as ready as I can.” he replied. You nod, “It is a good idea to stay ready.” Bobby was comfortable but restless. “Well look it, we already made it to the ring, we’re in,” he moves his chair back and lies on the mat with his arms folded behind his back. “Ohh that’s a good idea, rest before the hard work starts,” Ashlee said and did the same. Shane sat with his back straight and eyes focused. James sat up and took a sip of water from his bottle. We have been waiting for a long time, maybe a quick lie down isn’t such a bad idea, you think.

(A answer)
You move forward just a little but decide not to lie down. When ever the “Deadman” enters you want to be ready. Just then the man at the door put a finger to his ear and turned slightly to his right to look over his shoulder. You followed his eye and notice there are security cameras in the corners of this room. Just then another man walks in and the two of them step to the ring “You and you step out of the ring,” Bobby and Ashlee stand up and exit the ring. A speaker clicked on and Undertaker’s voice boomed “Lying down on the job is an offense, Get out of my Yard, you’re not tough enough” . A door on the opposite side of the room opens and the two were led out.

And Then there were three. You shook your head , while you, Shane and James were instructed to stand up and exit the ring. “Patience is a virtue. You all showed that, so Dirts, you passed to the next round” your group was led out and to the next stage.

This room was a boot camp style arena, with a track, rock wall, and a platform. You smiled to see it all finally some action. You were instructed to put on your elbow pads and knee pads. One of Undertaker’s helpers explained the rules, “What yous gotta do is, begin at this yellow line and run three laps around the track, then walk the balance beam, and then do a set of ten on the bench. The first one to make it to the end wins the race,” he finished and walked away. Three new people,( Madison McCain, Jeff L., and Gavin Jones), stepped in and were explained the rules. The six of you lined up and began the race. You go through your laps like a champ, no problem. There were three, including you, on the balance beam that shifted with every step someone took. Someone from behind you said, “Get off loser!” and made you fall. You never saw who it was. You heard a crack from your right ankle as you stood back up. You limp your way to the bench and did your reps, you were mad but decided to stay focused. The race finished in this order, Jeff L., James Roberts, Shane Brody, Gavin Jones, then you. “Well Dirts, that wasn’t bad…it was awful. Some of you were winded by the 2nd lap and others…” there was a pause from the speaker system, and then continued, “Jeff L. how does it feel to be the winner?” Undertaker said in a surprisingly supportive tone. “Feels like it should, normal.” “Is that all you have to say?” Undertaker asked. “I don’t know what you mean?” Jeff was unsure what to say. Undertaker told you to stand next to Jeff and you did as you favored your stronger leg. “There’s a limit to competitiveness, on one side it is needed and on the other hand it can be dangerous. Instead of pushing yourself to work harder, Jeff, you decide to push another contestant, and that’s not how we operate.” he said and Jeff throws a tantrum. “ That was poor sportsmanship. Win but win fair. Get out of my Yard, you’re not tough enough,” he said to Jeff. Jeff is escorted out. “Now do you want to continue on that ankle or do you want to see what a doctor says?” Undertaker asked and you think for a second…

A) See the doctor B) Carry on without medical attention

B Answer)
“I can deal. I’m fine,” you say as you shrug. “Hm. Willing to work while injured, that’s definitely a needed quality.” Undertaker says and you wait for his decision. “But I definitely don’t need a foolish person in my yard.” “It isn’t fair to kick a person out for getting injured,”` Madison blurted out. “Especially not a person who was in the lead,” James said. Wow, not one but two competitors stuck up for you, maybe you might have to change the way you view them now. “Backing up someone, who was beating you, that’s noble. Alright Dirts you all live to make it to another step. By the way, try to tell me what to do again and I’ll kick you out myself”. You breath a sigh of relief. “I knew you’d be alright,” James said and patted you on the shoulder.

Boot camp continued.

There were five of you now, you, Shane Brody, James Roberts, Madison McCain, and Gavin Jones. You jumped from platform to platform, showing off your balance and stamina. Then all of you practiced giving and receiving Irish Whips. There were exercises for cardio, balance, endurance, and flexibility, you were dogged but you were still in. At the end of the day, you were led to a small room where there were tables and chairs. Everyone sat down, glad to get a little rest. One of Undertaker’s staff walks in carrying a pot full of green looking slop. He plopped a ladle full in bowls and handed to everyone. “Eat up,” the staff said. You were so famished that you sort of didn’t mind the color. “High protein, and vitamins, that growing Dirts need,” the speaker buzzed stopped and clicked on one more time “Good night, tomorrow we start the tough stuff,” Undertaker finished.

Congrats you made it through the first day and got some food. Next chapter begins shortly.

NEXT DAY

Today, you were ready and energized. You put on your favorite wrestler’s shirt, black sweat pants and your air pump sneakers. You packed your ring gear in a bag and fixed your hair the way you like it. You get to the gym and were instructed to stretch and do the beginning exercises.

Pushup, plank, and squat. Jumping Jacks, Suicide drills, Jumping Jacks, and Suicide Drills. Stop and repeat. That was the routine for about an hour. You were a little tired of the routine, but hey at least this part no one could fail. Just then, 10 more people walked in with the same look of excited exhaustion on their face.
“Welcome Dirts. You are my final choices for the Tough Enough trial. Preliminaries are over. Now I’m going to weed out the unworthy. Maurice take them for a run,” Undertaker spoke from the speaker again. So the fifteen of you were taken on a run through a wooded area. Maurice, a short man of 5’6 but as strong as a horse, screamed from out the passenger side window of a black van, “Keep it going! You ain’t tired yet!”
You kept your control, although you were out of breath, and stayed optimistic. In the front of you, you could see something in the distance. It looked to be a cabin. When you got closer, you saw that you were right. It was a cabin big enough to fit fourteen people.
The van slows down and parks as Maurice tells everyone to stop running. “This where you’ll be staying,” he said as he opened the door and led you in. The women were instructed to go to the left of the lobby and men to the right of the lobby. The lobby was a okay sized common area with a few couches and a TV on the wall. Maurice grabbed everyone’s gear and put it on people respective beds. Also on each bed, were black shirts with the name “Dirt” on it in purple. You looked at your shirt and then slid your gear underneath the bed. You notice that the beds were twin sized beds in the style of a gothic table or something like that. You raised your head to see the other competitors looking at the camera crew who were recording them. You almost forgot that this was a show. The others were saying many things to the camera and some were lounging as if they owned the place. Everyone was told to go into the lobby area and wait for further instruction. Introductions were made and people were generally relaxed. There was you, and the four you already recognized, and now there was, Nichole, Sam, Tara, Ricky, Rayvon, Mack Million, Linda Ming, Carl Rockmoore, Raymond, and Sergio Martinez. People began talking to each other and having some friendly conversation. You over hear Nichole saying some foul things about Linda and you shake your head on the first day here , already, you thought. Suddenly you see a cameraman run up and quickly focus his attention to someone behind you. Linda and Nichole begin to argue, some of the others take sides and join in. Linda walks away as Nichole calls her a ‘coward’ and then… punches are thrown from some and someone happens to hit you.

(Do you? A) Record it on your phone? B) Hit the person who hit you and run? C) Stay out of it ?

C. answer)
This was just too much for no real reason. You decided to stay out of it and go outside. A few others had the same idea, because they were already on the porch as you stepped out the door. “You all got annoyed too?” you said and they nodded yes. “I’m Mack Molino, but everyone calls me Mack Million, cause I’mma make millions baby!” Mack Million introduced himself. “Right, you do that,” you said with a smile and introduced yourself.
Linda Ming looked up and said “I have no idea what I did to that Nichole, but I’m not here for grade school foolery,” she said and you agreed, “Some just have to say something about someone, don’t dwell on it,” you reply. “Shane Brody, right?” you ask the silent guy leaning against the wall. “Right. Hey did you all see the trophy room? Freakin’ sweet. Taker’s got a crap load of awards and things from all his years just there,” he points to another building off the side of the house. All of you jump up and run to the building. This building was a one story building and it looked like an office connected to a room with a ring and audience seating. The group walk around and survey the walls lined with memorabilia. “Look at this,” Linda Ming said “it’s a piece of pipe or something, and underneath it says, Boiler Room Brawl. Ha he has a piece of the Boiler Room” she laughs. You eye Undertaker’s desk and can’t help but to go over to it. The desk was surprisingly modest, you expected some grand dark and dank thing. You see a button on the right corner of the desk and you see that they control cameras in the house. You press the one that leads to the lobby and a TV pops up at the desk. “Guys.” you say and they come to the desk. You all circle the TV as you see what’s been happening since you’ve been gone.
A member of the staff, named Dain, says “I’m calling the big guy,” Everyone involved said, “NO!” in unison. Dain stops, he was surprised at the sudden togetherness. Rayvon said “Come on, we all just lost our heads a little,” she said. Tara agreed, while still on Maurice’s shoulders, “Yeah we’re sorry. We want to be here; I know I do” Maurice lets her down slowly. “What are you all willing to offer for our silence?” Dain asked. “We will cook dinner for the staff every night,” Raymond said. “What else?” Maurice asked. “And…Whenever you ask us, we will respond however you want us to,” Sam says.

You shake your head, These guys are going to own us. You think as you eye Linda, she looks like she was thinking the same thing you were. Many of the group were throwing out bribes, because everyone knew that most, if not all, were off the show. Ricky looked closer to the TV and said, “There’s an erase button, suppose this piece of footage went…missing? It would be hard to prove who did what. The show would still go on like this never happened.” “Or we could stay out of it, because we did nothing wrong,” Linda Ming said. “Besides Taker won’t kick out everybody, that would end the show…right?” Shane Brody said. You back up “Nay I’m not doing anything to the tape. One this is his office, he’ll know if someone messed with something, and two…Taker seems reasonable, maybe if we all do what we’re suppose to, he won’t kick everyone out on the second day. There won’t be any Tough Enough people left.” Ricky said “Look I’ll do it, then.”

(Does Ricky…A, press erase? B, leave everything alone?)

(B answer)
You and the group leave the office as you found it. As you entered the lobby of the house you were directed to stand in a straight line with the others. It was obvious there was to be a punishment handed out, and all of you were shuffled out the door. It was night time and the air had a chill in it. All of you were led to a field where there was a long hose on the ground. Maurice asked, “Alright Who started it?” Everyone looked down, not wanting to be the first person to open there mouths. Linda stepped up and said, “I guess it started when Nichole insulted me, so…we did,” she looked Maurice in the eyes. “The rest of you agree?” and the rest of you nod yes. Nichole shrugs but stays behind everyone. “You got nothing to say?” Maurice says to Nichole. “I think she’s mad because I’m better than her, and I have no problem saying that. I’m better than everyone here, no disrespect intended, I’m just speaking my mind, some can’t handle that.” She says. Just then Tara is drenched in cold water from the hose. Dain turns off the water and holds the hose. “What you do that for!” Tara yells and Dain soaks James with the cold water. “Its Nichole‘s fault!” James said. Dain sprays you. You were about to say something, when you saw Dain readying the water hose, you stayed quiet but right then Linda says “Don‘t say anything!” to you. Once again Dain turned the hose on, and drenched Shane. Maurice “This is a competition, NOT a daycare. If you got a problem with someone, ACT your age! If one of you act out, all of you feel the consequences!“ You all were instructed to run the field, at which point Nichole rolled her eyes and Dain caught her expression. “If you got a problem with how we run things, get out!” he sprays everyone as they run by. People were mad at Nichole and some yelled at her, which caused everyone to have to run another lap. You ran, your clothes getting heavier with water at every out burst someone made. Finally everyone was told to go back into the house. The warning was given, that if anyone starts any fight, they will be kicked out. You and others peel off the wet clothes and quickly went about getting warm. Linda Ming apologized to every single person, but Nichole did nothing but flip her red hair and sat on one of the couches. “Why should I apologize? You all are nothing but peasants,” she says.

After that no one really dealt with Nichole. In the early morning, around 5 am, you were awaken by the deep and booming Texas accent of the Undertaker’s. Everyone ran around getting dressed into their gear and filed into the lobby.

The large TV was playing a pre taped video of the Undertaker and he gave out instructions for the day. “Today Dirts, you are going to be put in the ring against each other and then, who ever survives, will face a few sessions with some of my colleagues. HHH, Beth Phoenix, and the Big show to name a few. So get digging Dirts and remember I’m watching,” the video finished playing and Maurice turned it off.

After a few warm ups, you volunteered to enter the ring first. For this, you were able to choose which person you faced. Who do you pick?

Shane Brody, James Roberts, Madison McCain, Gavin Jones
Sam, Tara, Ricky, Rayvon, Nichole, Mack Million, Linda Ming, Carl Rockmoore, Raymond, and Sergio Martinez
