Alongside my boyfriend and two good friends of ours, we run a vampire group in Manchester called "The Crypt", and yesterday we held a meetup, which promoted two authors, giving them the opportunity to make group member aware of their books, and to enable us to be aware of other authors. The two authors we had were Sam Stone, author of the "Vampire Gene" series, and also David J Howe, who has written and co-wrote several Doctor Who books. The pair of them were a joy to have and the meetup was successful. For a group less than one year old, three guest authors is unusually good I think.

Excellent news, guys. I am the father of a healthy baby boy. 8 pounds and 7 ounces. I named him Mark. Doesn't take a genius to figure out who I named him after.

Congrats Speedy!!!! That's awesome!!! In about a month, let me know if you're a World record holder in diaper changing athletics... I used to be able to change my sons diapers in 5 seconds flat... They couldn't piss on me at all... I was that fast.... Once again, congrats man!

This is really not an important thing here, but for me, it's a bit of a milestone, my own personal goal if you will. 25 months ago, I tore my left rotator cuff while doing seated Triceps Presses. My arm waivered, my shoulder popped, and ripped, and was subsequently protruding out of my arm pit. I refused surgery as I've heard from alot of my friends who've had it that their shoulders continued to grind, and pop afterward, and that they didn't fully regain their strength.

I chose the rehab, re-strengthen rout instead. I couldn't do anything but range of motion work without weights for first 11 months to let it heal. Now 25 months after tearing it, I'm finally at full strength again, and 100% back, having done Hammer Strength Overhead presses with 360 lbs for 5 reps. My record lift for multiple reps in that exercise is 405lbs. I'm going for 410lbs. for 5 reps this week. That's my bit on this. It's not a big deal in the overall scheme of things, but I worked my ass off this last 14 months to get back to where I was pre-injury.
