One quick question....what the hell has Robot Wars got to do with this thread? We already have one crazy spam thread bizarrely named in dedication to ritual sacrifices and wood chippers, lol, plus there's a thread called "The fun house" somwhere on the General Chat board. The occasional off topic discourse is fine, but could we limit the amount of it spread across varying threads and perhaps keep the really random stuff in one place.

Sorry Luke. It did sort of make sence though. I gave a real example of harshness, and came to the logical conclusion based on it. Veritas then had a discussion on whether or not the harshness dealer was invincible.

No, we're definitely not too harsh. We have a standard, and the bar is set high. As a result, we encourage a strong virtual community that doesn't tolerate idiocy, perversion, or juvenile acts. Even if I disagree with one of the regular posters here, they know I respect them; and the opposite holds true.

We're not too harsh, but I know I can be when reading certain posts. The rest of the time, it's all good conversation. Sometimes it's also a good learning experience for me too. Some of the topics are beyond what I usually read, what I have knowledge of, and I definitely like reading topics on Wiki based off of those. I think we all have respect for each other on here, but when one of us goes off a bit, it's good we have people on here that will let them know they're a bit off.

The one thing that keeps me attached to this board, even if I'm not posting all too much and just lurking is the overall sense of 'maturity' I feel here that isn't being swallowed up by spam threads, board members who obviously haven't read the rules and the horrible combination of both parts. And, I know this sounds pretty corny, but it's made me rethink posts I've wanted to post to better write and converse with others to keep the quality high. I want to contribute on a higher level.

I don't usually stick around to forums, like ever. This place is the exception, and because of the quality control here, I feel comfortable to post stories and art knowing that I'm less likely to get flamed down but instead get constructive criticism and/or reassuring comments. There are thoughtful threads of real discussions and overall intelligence coming from the mass majority who frequent here. Also I can read everything without getting a headache! I feel that the moderating here sets the bar high for other forums on how to keep a civil order.

So as far as being too harsh, I think it's good where it is. :)

Maybe you should take the time to read the Rules, and think before you post. There's been a couple locked topics you've posted that prove you haven't read any of the Rules at all. Use spell check too. Some of your posts have been absolutely abysmal to read.

I'll agree with Ed here, I don't think it's fair to say that we have been harsh to you at all DARTH NKO. Everyone gets equal treatment here and when it comes to either not reading the rules or just completely disregarding them, well, you can expect to have this pointed out to you, indiscriminate of who you are. The posting policy here is quite simple and underpinned by a basic set of rules accepted by many. And now for the blunt part because I don't appreciate your ignorance and victim playing....if you don't like the rules then you know where the door is, if you continue to break them, we'll kindly boot you out of it.

3 Questions for you DARTH NKO:
1. Have you read the rules?
2. Do you know where they are?
If the answers to the above are "No" then just ask, if the answers are "Yes" then 3. Why aren't you abiding by them?
