Lesnar May Never Fight Again.

Postby Ed Burns » Tue Nov 17, 2009 8:50 am

As it's been reported on ESPN, Brock Lesnar collapsed yesterday, and was rushed to a hospital in North Dakota. Dana White's declined to specify the illness, other than he might need major surgery which would end his career.

It was publicized that he had Mononucleosis, and pulled out of this weekends' fight back on October 27th. This shocked the hell out of me when I heard it earlier through an email from a friend of mine. I hope Brock gets better, but I highly doubt we'll see him fight again, which is sad.

according to wrestlezone, It's not Mononeucleosis, its diverticulitis. which apparenty causes small pouches to form in the digestive system. lovely.

Dana White said that he had an illness in addition to the Mononucleosis that he was diagnosed with on October 27th. White didn't actually divulge that it was diverticulitis. At any rate, it's obviously gonna cost him his career. Those pouches have to be removed rom his digestive system. If he has the surgery, White said his career is over.

... English class would never hurt anyone, right? Are you trying to say that "Brock was an awesome fighter and I hope he gets better, and hopefully this is the end? You're stating two difference feelings towards him. "Lesnar was an awesome fighter"(love him) - "hopefully this is the end"(hate him). A key word from Walter: Dumbass.

It's a shame he collapsed. I hate people, and we have a right to know!

Don't bother correcting BAD01's English. She's so retarded it's like watching the theoretical offspring of Eugene and Eric Bishoff humping a keyboard with the wrong parts.

Well I just found out that Lesnar will be back to wrestle in six months. It's sad to hear about Lesnar's sickness but it's good that's he's healing. I think they should let him heal and recuperate his body for a year before he can go back into the octagon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Nice one.

Christina, where did you get your info from. If there's a link to an article, post it. Dana White hasn't released any statements since the initial one. I'm gonna hit UFC.com, and edit this post in a little while if there is an update.

UPDATE: they have no idea how bad Brock's gut is, whether he needs majopr surgury or when he'll be able to fight again. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/dana-white-says-brock-lesnar-could-need-major-surgery-92321. so yeah, brock's out for the forseeable future, which is bad for him, the UFC and his fans. this probably means they'll need an intrim champion or strip Brock of the current title. still, it's gotta suck if youtake Brock's title bacause of ill health, it'd just bring questions upon your ability to beat Brock. though this could make Brock sometihng of a legend,m in that do you think X, Y, or Z could beat Brock etc.

Man have you seen his fights or you are just saying that he is a good fighter because he is the UFC champ???

He has a record of 4-1.
His victories:

Min Soo Kim (Unknown Korean guy)
Heath Herring (A completely past prime fighter)
Randy Couture (A legend, but very overrated as a fighter)
Frank Mir (Also an extremely overrated fighter)

He has a great wrestling, has a vicious ground and pound, and that is all. He hits extremely hard but his technique in the stand up is not so good, he has zero submissions Skills. He is a big strong monster, but as a fighter he is not the best.

In the HW division Fedor Emelianenko is the real deal, that is a really great fighter. Also IMO Overeem and Barnett would beat Lesnar, the problem is that they 2 are not in the UFC.

Being a UFC champions doesnt mean that automatically you are a great fighter. Fedor has destroyed 7 former UFC champs, and many of them in a couple of minutes. (Or even in 36 seconds)

The latest on Brock's health.

Greg Nelson talks to MMAWeekly.com about the status of UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar:

"... he’s walking around and moving around. He’s not ready to jump into that cage, that’s for sure at this point.... I’m not 100 percent sure right now [when he'll start training again]. We’re not really pushing it right now. We’re just letting things take their course so he can be 100-percent healthy when he starts to train. He’ll probably start lifting weights to get his strength built up and do the exercise bike when he starts to get going, and shadowbox when he gets to feel better. But right now, he’s just taking the time to properly heal."

Thanks all for the updates! I was wondering how Brock was doing. I don't like him as a person; his arrogance gets me. But it would be an absolute shame if he couldn't fight again ( that's not a purely altruistic sentiment; I want to see him get his a$$ kicked GRIN). And also, he seems to really enjoy MMA from what he's said and it would be very sad if, having finally found something he really loves to do, he had to give it up. (Aside: diverticulitis is a manageable condition).
Anyway, hope he heals fast and well. Glad to know he's on the right track again.
