They find out the island has supernatural beings on it. All the characters are intertwined somehow. They find out that there is other people(s) on the island. Plus there is a boy who see's pictures and those things die. Crazy Huh.

That's Interesting. Your Mom can just listen and not read the subtitles. Anybody else watch the Show?

I watch it. I didn't use to but a colleague from work got me hooked on it. It's getting a little stale for me right now, but I'm still watching it to see what happens. I heard the DVD set of the first season will be coming out this year. I think I read that in TV guide.

I'll be watching tonight.

Hey, I'm bumping this thread up for the obvious reasons. I see the fanbase is starting to climb worldwide. I'm just wondering where are you guys as far as episode in the UK. What season and storyline. Over here were in Episode 5 of Season 2. Just wondering so I don't give out spoilers.

I love lost! I've seen every episode of the first season, but i have only seen a couple of season two, since i have youth group on weds nights. I really miss seeing that show. Jack and Sawyer. **drools.** Now there's two hunky boys!

The hatch and numbers thing has got me utterly and comepletely stumped, and what happened to the french lady? She hasn't been on lately, to my knowledge.

Yes the French Lady has not been on as of late. She should be. The gal is quite an actor. I especially enjoy Henry Ian Cusick's portrayal of Desmond. I think its especially cool. I think that the numbers are going to be something that provide hassle for the Lostaways. As its being compared toa skinner box.

Waa? Skinner box, huh? Did I miss something? What's a Skinner box?

Lets see, the numbers started with Hurley, and then they were on the outside of the hatch, and now you have to type them in every few hours...ya, they're important.

A skinner box was created by science great BF Skinner. Skinner, created a box that harbored mice. THe mice would have to press levers and such to receive food. Here's a better description:

An operant conditioning chamber (usually Skinner box) is a laboratory apparatus used in experimental psychology to study animal cognition. The Skinner box is named after its inventor, the behaviorist B.F. Skinner, who created the device while a graduate student at Harvard University around 1930. They are used to study both classical conditioning (especially autoshaping) and operant conditioning.

The structure forming the shell of a chamber is a three-dimensional box large enough to easily accommodate the organism being used as a subject. (Common model organisms used include rodents–usually lab rats–pigeons, and non-human primates).

Skinner boxes have at least one operandum (or "manipulandum") that can automatically detect the occurrence of a behavioral response or action. Typical operanda for primates and rats are response levers; if the subject presses the lever, the opposite end moves and closes a switch that is monitored by a computer or other programmed device. Typical operanda for pigeons and other birds are response keys with a switch that closes if the bird pecks at the key with sufficient force. The other minimal requirement of a conditioning chamber is that it have a means of delivering a primary reinforcer or unconditioned stimulus like food (usually pellets) or water.

With such a simple configuration, one operandum and one feeder, it is possible to investigate uncountable psychological phenomena. Modern Skinner boxes typically have many operanda, like many response levers, two or more feeders, and a variety of devices capable of generating much stimuli, including lights, sounds, music, figures, and drawings.

Or perhaps the hatch is real and used to stimulate the geothermal indexes eminating from the island. Just for kicks heres some things you may have missed:

1) The Sharks tale harbored a logo on it bottom tail.
2) When Shannon meets Walt in the woods for the first time he says the words "Push the button, No the button is bad". Some argue its "Don't Push the.." However the first is most significant.
3) On the side of the milk Hugo drink in his dream with Jin is a picture of Walt and the words "MISSING" on the side.
4) The symbol of hatch 4 is an arrow.

There'll be more for season 2.

Well, I'm also a fan of Lost. Its a great show and something quite different from anything else i've seen before. The Season 1 DVD set comes out over here this Monday (along with Star Wars Ep: 3), so I'll definetely be getting that. I could watch these shows over and over, and im sure theres little things that you just don't take much notice of the first time you watch it.

I really hope this show keeps going, and remains at the high level its been so far.

For now, i'll try and avoid finding out too much about Season 2 from you guys. lol

Hey I'll keep the spoilerificness down. Its hard to not slip. But I will. This is by far the craziest show I've ever endured. I think I can proudly say I'm the biggest fan of Lost here. Not to brag. I mean I painted my bedroom wall with the L O S T logo.

Cool! A Lost thread!!!

Was I the only one getting misty when Rose reunited with her husband?

Was I the only one who wanted to shoot Anna Lucia with a tranquilizer gun?
