Sherman Hemsley, the star of the 70s hit TV sitcom The Jeffersons, passed away today. He was 74 years old. I included the USA Today News link which has more info on Hemsley's life, and career. To quote the show's lead in song, he's movin' on up to a deluxe apartment in the sky now.

This shocked the hell out of me. Because I found out about his death yesterday. And I had been talking about the remaining cast members of The Jefferson. Now all of the main characters are dead except Marla Gibbs. But the news depressed the hell out of me. RIP Sherman, I'll never forget the laughter you brought into my life.
