Rodney King Passes Away

The man that was the spark of the LA Riots, Rodney King, 47, died yesterday.

They found him in the pool. His wife said he had been drinking and smoking weed.

This is unfortunate. I mean Rodney made a lot of mistakes, which unfortunately caused him his life. But he didn't deserve to die. Not like this.

Damn... What is it with all of these people dying now?

King was a very polarizing figure in the early 1990s. Relations between Black folks, and White folks were quite bad during that period. He was somewhat of a reformed citizen the last few years, and he did not endorse the Riots in L.A. in '92, even though he could have. People will inevitably bring up that he was drinking, and smoking weed, but at the same time, the man lost his life. R.I.P. Mr. King.

It's alarming how many people are dying this year. Another one whose death deserves to be acknowledged is Yvette Wilson, who played Andell on Moesha and The Parkers. Lost her battle of cervical cancer. RIP.


King's life was plagued by negative publicity. But he was a human being. We all fuck up.

Unfortunately, he'll always be linked with Police Brutality, and riot jokes too. I was watching some Chris Rock videos, and he used to talk a lot about it... Everyone makes mistakes, but King's will always inevitably glorified by the media types who like to blast anyone that's not corporate, politically correct, or squeaky clean... Then again, how many of our Corporate CEOs, or Politicians can claim that they're squeaky clean?

People still blast on Whitney about her problems too since she was in the public eye.

You're absolutely right. And don't forget about Michael Jackson. Just couldn't leave the poor guy alone.

You're right about these corporate and political figures. I'm sure most of these guys do drugs,
abuse alcohol more than Rodney ever did. But they get away with it. Most of them anyways.

Yup, and they don't do the weed though. That's a poor man's drug to them. They're doing the coke, and fucking every woman, who's not their wife, they can get their hands on... Power really does mean corruption in this regard... It's sad as it is very widespread.

With Michael Jackson, they crucified him, and when he was found not guilty, they still 2nd guessed the verdict. Now that he's gone, they saint him, and it shows what real hypocrites they truly are.

King won't get the respect he deserves... Not at all. That's sad because his life is a valuable as anyone elses, whether they're a CEO, Politician, or Peace worker.
