The Absence/Return Thread

So, I saw this on another forum, and thought it would be a good idea...if not, just tell me, and I'll lock it. I've never locked myself before...hmmm... First time for everything I guess.

Anyway, this thread will be for anyone who will be taking a short-to-long absence for the Forum. You need not state your reasons if you don't want to, but it you think you'll be away for a bit, post it here. When I saw the "Absence Thread" on the Monsterboard a while ago, I thought it was a pretty good idea, and useful at times.

...All that being said, I guess I be the first missing one. Nothing major, just going home for a few weeks. And, for those of you who don't know already, Lucinda's (parents')home=Crappy internet. We're talking one of the slowest dial-up speeds ever. Ever. So, I'll be on the forum and rarely until about...the end of August/the beginning of September when the term starts again. Yeah, monumental announcement, I know, but if I make an absence threat, might as well post in it, right?

Hope you enjoy spending time with your folks Lucinda. I myself have been absent again from the forum over the past 3 weeks or so and this my friends is because I have been a numpty. To be honest, without going into details, I have been going through a pretty tough, unhappy spot recently. I made a rather unplanned decision two weeks ago to quit my job and then move back down to Surrey from Ipswich. So, at the moment I am staying with my boyfriend temporarily and hope to be moving to stay with my aunt later this week. This is another temporary measure until I can get myself sorted. I am in the process of job hunting at the moment and that will be followed by flat hunting. During this time, my access to the Internet is going to be very limited so you may see little of me until my life is back on track and things are sorted.

He is just about to move in with a friend in a month's time and they're planning on signing a 12 month lease, so if in 13 months time we are still in a relationship, then I might pose the question of living together.

BGR (the phenomenal?? oh please, dont make me laugh) always with her "please dude, use common sense, why we have to answer you? Why dont you search bu yourself?) and the other is even worse, he thinks he is badass and funny and all he writes is "we dont know, and even if I know, why I should tell you?" (his typical answer after the 80% of the questions posted by other people).

You can say anything you want about me but at least I have never insulted anyone only because I didnt like their post.

first off, why is this posted in the absence thread? Second, are you really that offended when someone tells it like they see it? I mean, we are just ONLINE, why are you really that offended? We are adults *at least I hope some of us act like it*, does criticism really insult you *or what you take to be criticism?* Why should they have to leave, no offense, but they have been here for a few years, and they are still here, so obviously they are likable people. And from your post, you are insulting them yourself *you couldn't even post your feelings in an adult-like, nice, but straight-forward manner*
