Well, aside from smackdown. InuYasha tops the list followed by .hacksign, Futurerama, Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park. There are a few others I can't remember.

I am watching so much TV at the moment! Sad I know! I always watch The Bill, I think it's great TV, also been liking Holby City again over the last few months and of course the news series of Desperate Housewives! Anyway, I've probably mentioned all of those shows before!

Something I have to say is that I am loving the fact that "The Apprentice" has returned to our screens on BBC TWO on Wednesday nights at 9.00 PM. God, it sounds like I'm plugging it doesn't it, lol? "You're fired!"

Oh, oh, oh, something else which I will admit is that I have become addicted to "Deal or No Deal" with Noel Edmonds on Channel 4, I think it's absolutely fantastic, I love it!

It's okay, I know I'm sad, you don't have to say it!

No, I love that show too, thank God for More 4 so I can watch the repeat when I get home.

I'm now hooked to Boston Legal, it has to be one of the funniest shows on at the moment and with the man himself, Shatner you can't go wrong.

Ahh, "Deal or No Deal" I love that show. I love when the people are offered like 250 grand, yet they stay to open their cashbox only to see they won a measly 25 bucks. I know that its cruel, but that is what greed does to you. So I ask you Dan,

Deal, Or No Deal?

You Won....

....

....

5 Bucks! Woohoo!

Ooh excellent, I'm so happy that we're all loving "Deal or No Deal", yay! It makes me feel less sad, hehe!

Rather coincidentally, I've just been on WWE.com and they have a section on their home page about being able to watch Nunzio help his brother this Monday on "Deal or No Deal" on NBC, haha! There's even a video link to watch a preview. It's totally different to the British version with Noel Edmonds, it's like American Idol whereas ours is more, I dunno, understated tea-time TV, lol.

The "American Idol" comment - I dunno, it just seems that there are a lot more crazy screaming, cheering and jumping around people in that kind of crazy American over-the-top kind of way and that's just awfully un-British. Oh dear, I feel the possibility of a Star-Spangled Banner backlash coming on, lol.

Anyway, moving swiftly on.... the concept of the show is the same, but for a start, more money is given away on the US version. The highest possible available cash sum on the UK "Deal or No Deal" is £250,000 (roughly about $438,000) whereas its American counterpart offers the opportunity of a possible maximum $1,000,000 right?

Also, the British version of "Deal or No Deal" was orginally intended to be a nice quiet and controlled tea-time TV quiz show, mainly appealing to the elderly audience of Channel 4's late afternoon daytime TV audience, i.e. the fans of Countdown, Watercolour Challenge and 15-to-1. God, 15-to-1, remember that my fellow Brits?! Ah, William G. Stewart! Okay, I don't know if you'll be able to identify with this very well Andrew, it's quite a culture-based thing and not something that's particularly easy to grasp if you haven't been brought up in that British way, experienced typical British life or lived in Britian to experience the television delights of Channel 4 daytime TV programming. However, "Deal or No Deal's" rise to popularity amongst the British TV audience has become apparent and this week it aired it's first show broadcast in a Saturday night prime-time TV slot, 7.10 - 8.10 PM on Channel 4, going head-to-head with The National Lottery and Eurovision 2006 shows on BBC ONE and ITV1's "Dancing On Ice", which is basically what "Dancing With The Stars" was in the US, except on ice, it's basically ITV's rip-off version of the BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing". Anyway....

Okay, I've digressed! :smt016

Star-Spangled Banner "Backlash" huh?

I agree with you. American Idol lately seems like a place for over the top antics. Perhaps thats why only the original AI is only lasting singer? American Idol should focus on singing and less about the whole "oh my god" factor. So no backlash from me!

I was just looking through my previous posts and I cringe at some of the shows I mentioned. Deal or No Deal for Christ sake?! I loath this show and the contestants on it, why did I ever like it!

Before I give my updated list, I'd like to point out there is a difference between your favourite TV shows and the greatest TV shows of all time. For example, whilst I love the Stargate series, I don't think it deserves to be recognised as one of the greatest shows of all time, whilst the Sopranos does.

So, currently this is what I would rank as my favourite TV shows of all time.

- Columbo - I've become a die hard fan
- The Sopranos
- Dexter
- Stargate
- Lost
- Family Guy, South Park & OLD Simpsons
- West Wing
- Sleeper Cell
- Curb Your Enthusiasm
- Boston Legal

Has anyone seen Generation Kill, it's a TV show essentially based on a platoon of marines in Iraq? I'm three episodes through and I can't rate it high enough. It's based on the book of a reporter who was actually with United States Marine Corps' 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, so I assume it's a fairly accurate account of what went on, at least regarding that platoon.
