I guess it's safe to assume that the PPV will feature a special attraction ladder match just as we've had at WrestleMania since 2005 whereby the winner will earn a shot at the World Heavyweight or WWE Championship at any time over the next 12 months in the form of a briefcase. I wonder if there'll be 10 competitors in the match again as at WrestleMania XXVI this year.

I expect the runup will be filled with MITB qualifiers, none of which will include ladders, so…we'll have to see. I really don't mind WWE moving this event to its own PPV, but it still seems a little weird. I hope they come up with something new for WM.

Kane won the Smackdown MITB Match, and cashed it in after Mysterios' match with Thwagger... Kane's the new World Champion... Not really a surprise since everybody's predicting a Kane/Taker Summerslam Main Event...

Most likely a Kane vs Mysterio or a triple threat with Kane winning and Taker maybe making a surprise return after the match. I would personally prefer a video package building up a match at Surviour Series.

I think we might see some type of build starting Tuesday. It's so heavily rumored, I'd love to see WWE swerve us, and have Taker go after The Nexus instead. It would help cement Barrett, and the rest of Nexus. I doubt it though. They always seem to go for the predictable path.

That's their motto. Play it safe. Don't take any risks. Do what we know works. It makes you sick.

However, the Kaneiacs are all jacking off happily tonight. It's nice to see the big guy get the strap, even if it's only to drop it to Taker.

It's about 5 years overdue for Kane to get the strap. I'd still rather they put it on somebody younger to be honest. I wasn't impressed with Takers' last Title run. He had that gap in the middle of it where he wasn't active. If anything, WWE should've put the strap on Taker in the mid 90s a few times, rather than waiting til the twilight of his career. Kanes' too. The problem is the balance of talent favors Raw so much more than Smackdown... Who do they have that would be "over" with the fans as the Champ?

Very enjoyable PPV. Best one I've seen in a while.

First off, as I said on Twitter: "KANE IS THE NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!! HELL {BLEEPING} YES!!!!" :party1 :ohyeah :smt001

Certainly well deserved indeed. It's about time. Wasn't expecting it, but I'm happy about it. Unfortunately, now that I've had some time to rationalize it a bit, I'm afraid that it means what I think it means to which I say come the hell on. Give me a damn break. The feud doesn't really have much juice left. I REALLY, Really hope I'm wrong. We'll see..

Both Ladder Matches were very good and the respective winners were good choices, especially Miz. I'd say the SD one was a little more enjoyable; the tease with the unpopular finish with McIntyre was a nice touch. RAW one wasn't bad either though. Miz's post-match promo was very good.

Swagger/Rey was a pretty good match and it set up for Kane cashing in very nicely. Some might not admit it, but Rey was nothing more than a placeholder champion this time around IMO.

The Steel Cage Match was a bit of a let down early on but it seemed to get good towards the end. Glad to see Sheamus retain the title.

Although the fan in me wanted MITB to stay exclusive to WrestleMania, I think it's here to stay as a PPV. I'd be surprised if it didn't get a decent number in the buy-rate department.

Overall, 8/10. On to SummerSlam, Fella!

I'm surprised more people aren't happy that Kane now has the title and spotlight again. For years people complained how he was passed over for a title run, well hes got it now regardless of where it goes. I think people should just enjoy it. Things will certainly get interesting now, with Undertaker set to return soon. It probably will be an Undertaker vs Kane fued which I personally am not that upset to see, but for some reason I see potentially going somewhere else.

Believe me I love the fact Kane has won the belt. That's despite him being a sloppy worker (at least in my uninformed opinion). He's still a big enough star to carry the belt and more importantly the guy just plain deserves it.

So three cheers for Kane...for the very short time he will be keeping the belt warm for the Phenom. :smt004

Chris Jericho gave his congrats to Kane on his Twitter page last night. He congratulated him for his 15 years of dedication, and hard work... I like the fact he won it, but I still think it was 5 years overdue.

Meh, he's the apex of SD's beggest angle right now. He may as well be given the top title and drop it to a young'n.

Well holy motherfucking shit. Kane is the World Champion! *KANE* is the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! That is totally unbelievable. I'm utterly stunned, flabbergasted and dumbstruck. I frankly never thought they'd actually put the belt on him FINALLLY. No he won't be the main eventer he could have been if they had pulled the trigger 7 or 8 years ago when they should have. No I don't expect he will have an objectively impressive World Title reign. I would guess it'll last month, 2 months at most and he won't be booked strong over that course of those months. No he isn't in the same physical condition he was when he was younger. Honestly I don't give a fuck. FINALLY Kane has a World Title reign to his name that isn't remembered as the the flukiest of fluke wins. That. is. awesome.

Meanwhile, Miz struck me as the guy most likely to be breaking out into the main event scene. I didn't vote for him winning the MitB because he was a midcard belt holder but like before that seems to be a prop for him like before. He doesn't seem to defend it much.
