Survivor Series 2009

Presenting your official promotional poster for the 2009 Survivor Series. The poster's not terrible looking but I suppose it could look worse. Only one match announced so far: It's a triple threat match for the WWE Title which you can check out in the link below. At least HBK is in the match I'll say that much. But in the end I think all this will probably end up leading to yet another HHH/Cena match somewhere down the line

Anyway, discuss.

**Contains spoilers for World Heavyweight title match

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Triple Threat Match
The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show

- I'm glad that Taker's able to go into another PPV as the World Champ; his second longest title reign lasted 2-ish months, so let's see if he can outlast that. One thing I'm excited about is that Chris Jericho is one of Taker's opponents, but one thing I'm not excited about is that Big Show is the other. I'm not against Big Show (hey, heaps better than Batista) but I am not a fan of big-man matches. It wasn't terrible that they used the Bragging Rights world title match as a stepping stone for the Batista / Rey feud but I also don't like the idea that they might repeat it again with Show / Jericho.
PREDICTION: Either Taker keeps the belt and hangs on to it until either Royal Rumble (I forgot what the December PPV is) or after WrestleMania, or Jericho wins it and loses it at either Royal Rumble or at WrestleMania. OR, Jericho and Big Show decide to stick as a team and become co-World Champs.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Triple Threat Match
John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

- I'm really bored of Cena being in the title mix but on the other hand I can see why WWE keeps giving the belt to him. So far they haven't shown any hints (I haven't watched in sooo long so I could be wrong) of a DX break-up so I don't know how the match will play out with the two of them.
PREDICTION: Cena will retain the title. But please for the god, give him a bloody new opponent.

MATCHES I HOPE TO SEE
* INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP: John Morrison vs. someone just as credible. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Punk wrestle. They can have that thing where they're both trying to get near-future World title matches and they can feud over who deserves it more. Like Punk can continue to whine over being shut out of the World title match, while Morrison can keep winning matches and showing his worth.
* WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Michelle McCool vs. either Mickie James or Beth Phoenix. I don't really know what's been happening with the title storyline-wise but ehh.
* ECW CHAMPIONSHIP: Christian vs. I don't really know, I'm not up to date with it. But it's still a credible title nonetheless.

The poster's nice. Raws' main event at Survivor Series is the same old crap we've seen the last 2 and a half years. BORING!!!!!!! I like the Taker match. I haven't read the spoilers. If they put Jericho in a match with Taker, I'll buy the event just for that match.

I'm ordering this Pay-Per-View just for the hell of it. See how horrible it is, or I'll just find an active stream that doesn't get shut down. :smt014

Why does WWE always do that!?

Anyway, the poster is O.K. I also see a feud between Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. They really need to stop making things a little obvious, and/or make it not noticeable.

I can see HHH/HBK feuding again. This time the roles will be reversed, and Shawn will play the heel. Raws' main events have been done to death with Cena/Orton/HHH/HBK. They need to start coming up with new angles.

So far it seems like a decent show. The RAW main event does have the annoying air of unending repetitiveness I think ti makes sense to have it ONE more time. And we haven't seen this exact combination of participants before. With Michaels there we know it is probably going to be a fairly good match. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Jericho vs Taker even in a limited capacity. I hope they can go vaguely decent length of times by then. I'm thinking perhaps Jericho takes the gold. Undertaker appears not to be able to be physically able to carry the company's primary main gold for much longer I imagine.

First I love the poster it nice seeing DX dress up as soilders second, Raw main event put everybody favorite superstars on RAW in the same ring it going be an awsome match. Now as Undertaker match I really don't see a long thing with Jericho because it will the same kind of crap when Undertaker face CM Punk as for Big Show I rally can care less about him right now he just along for the ride.

Now I disagree with you there. Yes the feud against CM Punk could've gone better, but the feud with Jericho will be better, as they both can cut great promos ( the verbal spar on this week's Smackdown showed that) and they are both well skilled wrestlers. Plus it's a long-awaited feud, much like the one with Michaels was, so they shouldn't waste this. The reason I think the Big Show was added was to bring about the implosion of Jerishow, as already Jericho isn't happy about the move Big Show made to get a title shot against the Undertaker, hence why Jericho is now in the match. I'm looking forward to how the match goes, namely because we'll see Jericho and Taker facing off.

Raw's Triple Threat match I hope will lead to the end of one of them being constantly in the title scene, and it could see the implosion of DX as well, as there's a chance of that happening. They really need to add someone new to the title scene, and with Kofi's current feud, it could be him.

Dx breaking up? I really doubt that RAW without DX is bad thing because all the fans like them together and Dx do something with guest host so, Dx breaking up not happen for awhile. But Dark_Lady_18 I do agreed with you on someone new to be in the title run and would Kofi would the perfect person.

DX breaking up has been talked about on this site, so it's wise to listen and consider the possibility of it happening. And they are indeed popular with the fans, but no tag team has always stayed together, so it can't be ruled out. I think Cena is going to retain as they won't let him have a one month reign.

Anything can happen in the WWE. If DX breaks up, and Shawn was to turn heel, then you have a huge change creatively that'll spike some major interest. Vince could approve it solely to stir the pot. It would put a new spin on the already played out feud between HHH/HBK.

I'm also hoping this show ends the constant triumverate of the same 4 guys getting the main event slots on the Raw side of things. Guys like Kofi, Dibiase, Swagger, Miz, and Rhodes need to step up from the mid-card, and start receiving an opportunity to be in the showcase. I wish Vince would see that his daughter is running the creative department into the ground, and replace her with someone more objective. Then we might see a better more unpredictable product.

A Triple H vs Shawn Michaels feud?

When was the last time the World Wrestling Entertainment Creative Team ever thought of a more spectacular, splendid feud this year? I mean, not like Kofi vs Randy Orton isn't a bad feud, but it's always the same thing, good always wins. At least with Triple H vs Shawn Michaels, they'll both be fan favorites, and it will be hard to decide who you want to end the feud.

Dailymotion is probably the best bet, I'm looking at the moment. I haven't found Takers match, in fact I have found every match apart from his. I will let you know if I find it, and post the link.

Taker's match was a little more entertaining than I thought is was going to be, I would recommend seeing it. The triple threat was a really solid match Shawn kicking Trips in the first 3 seconds was awesome.

The Cena triple threat was by far the best, especially for shock moments and for the tense ride throughout!
