Heel. He's just not likeable enough to be anything else. I miss the old Scotty Steiner of the late 80s and early to mid 90s. Mullet, multi-colored singlet, ACTUAL WRESTLING ABILITY, .. oh and less obvious steroid abuse.

Heel : The monster gimmick works better when he's a bad guy because as a face, he was victim to too many assaults that bad Kane wouldn't have been subjected to.

Well I asked that one specifically because he did try being a heel but it just didn't work because all he ever did that was heelish was whine.
As for your's .. I say face because RVD is too likeable to be heel. Kinda like Mr Kennedy who I don't see being heel for too long.
