That's not it DJ, remember it took place in the 1980s, in the Memphis promotion not WWE and involved someone who was not a wrestler and is now dead.

Its been a long time since someone has tried this so can you please provide more clues or the answer or even a new question so we can start this back up?

i think i got it man. The Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler rivalry. I don't know all of the history on it, but I do know that it took place in the Mid-South Colliseum and Andy's neck was injured due to Lawler's piledrivers.

Jeff and Matt Hardy, before they entered the WWE, had their own wrestling promotion. What was the name of it and where was it located?

HOLD UP!!! Matt and Jeff had quite a few feds goin on before WWE! Obviously the one that is most remembered is OMEGA (Organisation of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) but they also had the TWF (Teenage wrestling federation, which later became the Teenage Wrestling Federation). They moved on to starting the ECWF (East Coast Wrestling Federation). They then got the investment of one Jens Luts, and renamed that company the NFWA (New Frontier Wrestling Alliance) and finally, they started up OMEGA with the help of an ACW promoter, Thomas Simpson.

Whew! I'm a bit of a geek bout them, eh?! But if OMEGA was what you were looking for, then S_L_B should get it.

There are some horrendous things on TV these days....oh, wait, it's just TNA

Ok, this wrestler was part of the Natural Born Thrillers, he's been a tag team champ on numerous occasions and has been in the WWE. He is also starting something up with another ex-WWE wrestler. Who am I referring about?

Yay!

This Superstar has been one of the biggest WWE Superstars in history. He has competed in numerous territories such as NWA's Carolinas Region, and held the Mid-Atlantic Tag Titles with Ric Flair. During the mid-1980s, he formed a regular tag team with fellow behemoth King Kong Bundy that is to this day the most gargantuan duo in WWE history. He made a brief comeback to WWE in 1989 that saw him win the first Royal Rumble ever broadcast on pay-per-view.

No.

He has also been a special referee in some matches. And he was formerly "Chuck O'Connor".

Oh I hadn't spotted this before, this is easy, it has to be Big John Studd!

Luke :smt001

Edit - Oh wait a minute, I'm confused, are we still trying to guess showstopper_loves_bella's one? If so then I'll go with Mark Jindrak for that one - he's a former WWE Superstar who was a part of the Natural Born Thrillers and is a 2-time Tag Team Champion plus he was recently/is involved in an online reality show with fellow former WWE Superstar Matt Morgan.

This former NWA United States Champion and bright young star was set to be an NWA World Heavyweight Champion before meeting the tragic misfortune of having his wrestling career cut short at the age of 27 by a horrific car accident in 1986 which left him partially paralysed, forcing him to retire.

Who am I talking about?
