The Rock vs Cena Fruity Pebbles at WM 28 in Miami

Postby slave of darkness » Tue Apr 05, 2011 11:02 am

So much for wondering what the main event will be at WWE’s WrestleMania 28 on April 1, 2012 in Miami.

On Raw, a day after WrestleMania 27, The Rock and John Cena decided to battle on the grandest stage.
This is unprecedented that the WWE announced its main event for its Super Bowl basically a year in advance.
It’s a dream matchup that will help elevate pay-per-view buy rates for Mania.

With Mania heading to Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens next year, and The Rock and family members living in South Florida, it is a great way for The Rock, a former University of Miami football player, to have one more big match, before his hometown of family, friends and the WWE Universe.

If Rock jobs to Cena at Mania, thats it , I'm through with the WWE

Considering The Rock's wrestling career has been over for 7 years and John Cena is WWE's current top guy, still with many active wrestling years in him, personally I think he should job to John Cena at WrestleMania 28. I have no interest in seeing a Superstar from many moons ago squashing a current Superstar who carries the company.

That will be the match where The Rock officially passes the Torch to Cena, even though it's already been done. I'm wondering if the Rock will do any tune up matches between now, and then. I know he's got a movie that's gonna start production soon.

-Ummm, isn't WrestleMania 28 a year away? A little early to be planning matches, ain't it?
-And what will the Undertaker be doing since the one man he's yet to challenge at WrestleMania (John Cena) is going to be tied up?

Anyhow...
IMHO, I don't think Cena needs to have any torch passed to him. He's been in top of the company for years. At this point, he HAS the torch. Honestly, I don't see why they just didn't have Rock vs. Cena this year, since they already seemed to have had it set up.

According to what I've read, Undertaker, and Triple H will lock horns for a second straight Wrestlemania next year. I know it's early, and nothing's actually confirmed, but I'd be willing to bet there'll be a rematch between Triple H, and Undertaker next year. It would be the other big money matchup. Cena vs The Rock next year's already been confirmed, even though it's extremely early. I've read WWE's wanting to do Taker/Cena at a Wrestlemania... They better get at it. Yes Cena has the torch, the one Austin passed to him, The Rock has the other... It's a double set...
