Rey Mysterio possibly moving to RAW

"Writer Brian Gewirtz is pushing to get Rey Mysterio on Raw. He noted that he is huge with children like John Cena and there were a ton of fresh opponents for him to face on the red brand. There has been talk in the past of moving Rey to Raw, but it has really picked up in the last few weeks. Right now, the decision is up in the air. McMahon didn't say yes, but he didn't say no either. If Rey left SmackDown, it would really hurt the show's ratings because they are held up by kids and Hispanics as he is a huge ratings draw in both demographics."

Though it's true about the ratings, I think Rey could go well on RAW. It's true that he's SD's top Cruiserweight, but he's off that category since Wrestlemania 22 (Hell, guys like Noble, Funaki and Moore are material to bathroom brakes for the fans in the arena, many have said so). So maybe he could do well tricking superstars like Snitsky or TWGTT or Kennedy (He could go for the IC title also).

Personally, i think it'd be cool to see Rey on RAW, but the only way to make that happen well is to move a few guys to SmackDown! to replace him. To be honest, i think they could move Cena over to SD!, giving him fresh opponents, a new title to chase and maybe a way to rejuvinate fan interest in him. Or moving HHH if you're looking for Star drawing power. What if they moved HHH and HBK to SD!? Two top name talents, one looking for a lesser schedule, one who needs a new playground.

There are a lot of possibilities, but i think it'd be best to have people move from RAW to SD! or ECW, but definitely not for SD superstars to go to RAW. That reminds me...what if Rey went to ECW? That might put a bit of life in the brand!

Well this would be a huge loss for smackdown but better for RAW cause he will have more fresh opponents. As for ratings smakdown would lose out on it big time and raw might not even change for all we know. But i think he is better on smackdown as long as we get some fresh opponets from raw and trade some of the lesser smackdown superstars over to Raw.

Almost all the guys on the WWE roster could use a move to a different brand for a fresh start, except anyone going to ECW. Smackdown can't afford to lose Rey Mysterio right now. Raw and Smackdown have two big stars on each brand that are exclusive. Smackdown has Undertaker and Mysterio and Raw has HBK and HHH. That's how I sort of distinguish them since all four have been on their respective brands for some time now. Unless Smackdown gets a legit superstar in return, Mysterio leaving Smackdown would look really odd since he's been there since he's arrived in WWE. Mysterio and Smackdown kind of just go together.
