I would think it was possible, the one wrestler still active who wrestled on its first episode (if I heard correctly). Been enjoying the buildup to it mostly, with the flashbacks and wrestlers from the past appearing on Raw, though I feel those flashback videos are being repeated too much, especially on Smackdown.

You aren't wrong. Taker indeed appeared and wrestled on the very first episode of RAW on 01.11.1993, when he beat Damien Demento in a squash match at the main event of the show.

I'm sure that Taker will appear on the 1000 episode on RAW, and I'm also liked the buildup to it too.

WWE's been treating this show as if it was a huge PPV. Supposedly, they're advertising quite a few previous stars for the show. I can see Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, and maybe even Taker appearing on it. It would make sense for Taker to make a brief appearance, and hopefully chokeslam some poor unfortunate jobber. Lesnar's actually being advertised for the show to push his Summerslam build with HHH into high gear.

Taker has already been advertised for the show, you can see him twice on the commercial for the show, one time during an entrance and then in stare down with HHH. Not to mention that he is the only guy who appeared on the very first episode of RAW, let alone the main event, and still active. It only make sense that he will be there.

One side note to the show itself, WWE will be changing the Raw Theme, and subsequent show introduction video... The song will no longer be Burn It To The Ground by Nickelback... It'll be "Tonight Is the Night" by Outasight. They may also change the lead in video at the top of the program. It's also been announced that a permanent GM for Raw, and Smackdown will announced at this show. WWE will also announce a special HBK Appreciation Night for August 6th, when that Raw takes place in San Antonio. Anyone want to speculate a Lesnar attack on HBK to further the Lesnar/HHH Summerslam build?

Taker wasn't at every single WWE related video advertisement for every show, he wasn't on the Super SmackDown Great American Bash show advertisement, for one. So if he does appear on the 1000th episode of RAW commercial, he is gonna be there for sure.

As for the rest of stuff, the Lesnar beatdown on HBK is possible, same as for changing the lead video at the beginning of the show. Maybe Taker will be the one who appears at the end of it, that will be cool.

I could see taker appearing for the lesnar story, prefer him to show punk who the best in the world is. But I for 1000th since its a reunion night how great would it be to see the brothers of destruction in action again, especially against DX but thats not going to happen :(

We will most likely just have an appearance hopefully to set up something at survivor series (isnt this year the 25th?)

Bleacherreport had rumoured Taker is the pay off to Heath slater, a light squash match for him, I dont see that happening as he is still on the roster but I would love love love stone cold to be the one for heath, just music goes off he gets in the ring, the bell ricgs, quick stunner and leaves

Taker eventually did appear on the show just as I've expected, but not for the match with Slater, he had his share of legends to beat him up, while Taker had a beatdown of his on with Kane, the Brothers of Destruction have put their differences aside and reunited once again, it was awesome to see the together.

The show overall was awesome, the DX segment with Sandow, the promo with Trips, Heyman and Stepth, the IC title match with Miz winning the IC Title, the wedding segment, there were all great, and the backstage skit with Mae Young's "son" was hilarious, and the main event for the WWE title was also great, with CM Punk's shocking heel turn was so well done. I wonder what's gonna happen in the WWE Title scene now after this.
