Complain About Anything And Everything Wrestling Thread.

Postby Jack » Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:35 pm

Okay,so i've decided to make this topic, seeing as there's one on the General Chat section,i thought we should have one for the General Wrestling Talk,So if you have something to complain about for Wrestling, here's the thread for you.
There's a few things i'd complain about to WWE/ECW.
1: No blood = no fun,it's just not the same as it used to be back in the WWF days.
2:ECW isn't extreme anymore,so it's not as fun,it's turned into a kids show really.
3:Undertaker's character, should be more fearsome like he was back in the ministry/western days, his character now doesn't suit him at all i don't think anyway..
4:PG=Sh*t,They're ruining WWE and ECW,no swearing,or extreme moves,it's getting boring now.
5:Releasing Superstars all the time really,They better not release Shemus or Tatsu, cause i can see them being the future of WWE,releasing Kennedy And Umaga was a big mistake to,Although Umaga might return.

Umaga was released for a very good reason - he failed a piss test and refused to go to rehab. Which means that it's good riddance. WWE can't afford a major steroid scandal, because the first words out of anyone's mouth in the news when that happens is "Chris Benoit".

My complaint is with the content of the shows themselves. Sometimes the actual amount of time devoted to actual wrestling is ridiculous. 35 minutes of wrestling in a 2:10 wrestling program is terrible. The amount of promo time and backstage spots are getting out of hand. I'd love to see more wrestling.

My other problem is how the shows seem to plod along with no energy. The last couple Smackdowns have been boring as hell. A little more energy, and a more aggressive pace would help the shows out.

I agree with you.

SmackDown needs more entertaining superstars, and less dramatic feuds. The WWE seems to be paying more attention to Raw, rather than Smackdown anyway, which doesn't surprise me. Think about it! Raw has a more entertaining roster which brings in more money. Smackdown's just full of outcasts, other than Undertaker, John Morrison, and Chris Jericho.

But each week I somehow always get drawn to watching Smackdown and miss Raw. Smackdown is currently producing a better show in my eyes, sure I may not like some of their roster but they have young stars. It looks like Ziggler is back in the IC title race and will probally get another title shot. On Raw Miz is beating Evan Bourne in five minutes. Smackdown mid card is better than Raw's in my eyes and so is their pushing of young stars, and that will draw me to that show.

Ziggles never left the IC picture. That's why he was initially put into the clusterfuck tag team match at bragging rights. Morrison vs Ziggles wouldn't have fit at BR, so they went with Miz vs Morrison instead (and they were awesome). now that its done Ziggles can come back to the place he never left.

Yeah but it ZIggler looks strong now beating Morrison last week. Hopefully he will win the belt and then letting Morrison get into the main event scene.

I guess my main complaint at the moment would be the pushes of guys who are completely uninteresting. I mean, wow, I took a several-week break (forced, lol) from wrestling, and I come back, and I see Generic SVR Guy #1 vs. Generic SVR Guy #2. :smt070 I was like, "What...who is this?" And of course, my sibs, who have been following a bit more closely than I have recently, answered, "Oh, some guy." I know I'm probably biased being an Undertaker fan and a Shawn Michaels fan, but I'd just like to see more...memorable people. I think it's great that the "new generation" of wrestlers are so-of getting a chance (I think the younger guys should get more of a chance, personally), but a wrestler shouldn't be pushed, in my opinion, unless there is a demand of sorts...and there won't be any demand unless he's at least mildly interesting.

Perhaps I'm still traumatized by the Bobby Trashley Saga from, what, a year or two ago, but every time I see a boring, generic guy being pushed, I worry that we're going to have to sit through more "You say you're Finlay, and you like to fight...Well, I say, you're Finlay and YOU'RE A BAST--I mean, erm, a BIG MEANIE~!" promos. *shudder*

Also, I still wish the Women's Division wasn't a completely joke on BOTH shows, and speaking of both shows...I forgot about ECW. :smt008

And what's up with the silly PPV names? What is this, TNA?! (Buuuuuurn?) :smt003

Lucinda, I dont remember Lashley Calling Finlay a bastard. I remember him calling Finlay a Bath Turd, however I THink that says more about Booby's gastrointestinal tract and personal hygene than Finlay.

I like seeing the young guys pushed, but creative needs to allow some room for these guys to sell themselves to the fans. A guy like Drew McIntyre is one that comes to mind. He's a good talker, and has a good arsenal of moves. He sells his role as hee quite well. He might not garner the all around interest of the average wrestling fan, but, he has my attention. I also would love to see somebody new making noise in the WWE, instead of the same top guys all the time. Look at Raw, the same four guys are always in the Main Event. That gets boring. Adding new guys to the mix, will help the product get better, as long as they don't put these guys in position to falter, and allow them room to refine their characters as they continue on.
