Greetings from the dark side… The whole Kane angle with the comatose Undertaker has everybody wondering who did this and awaiting his return. With the unfortunate injury that happened to the Undertaker courtesy of Rey Mysterio, I ponder the question, “What if ?”. What if this injury did not occur? Certainly the Undertaker was in the title picture as he was replaced by the winner of the Fatal Four way match…Rey Mysterio. And I have asked this question to myself many times over the years. “What if?” Seems Taker has had quite a few months-long absences in his career but never seemed to be in the title hunt as much as was maybe deserved until the new millennia. Is it coincidence or something more relating to backstage politics (not as much now as there was) in the sense that the Undertaker has been bypassed in world title pictures more than most other big superstars? Looking back to the 90’s, it certainly seemed the Undertaker was arguably under utilized. Was it because he was such a good worker, he was the one to lead the not so savvy rookies through their matches? (Berzerker, Kamala, Giant Gonzalez, etc.) Was it injuries that the Undertaker just fought through but they didn’t want to chance their champion fighting hurt? No one seemed to have the aura or intimidation factor in the 90’s more so than the Undertaker.

Rounding out this month’s Laurie with a final flashback, with Zack and Laurie and a couple of familiar action figures.

Now, a bit of bad news. As you’ve probably noticed my updates have been every other week for awhile. Truth is, I’ve been busy getting myself ready for a convention in California called ‘SigGraph’ and before I go I need to get a decent amount of art and work done so my time has been divided.

I’m gonna have to dissappear until August to make sure I get all this done. I don’t want to try and rush through next month’s set of BtP and do a half-ass job.

So look for the new Behind the Pyro around the time ‘Taker should be showing up again and I’ll see you guys later!

- The returns of Triple H and The Undertaker have been brought up this week with WWE featuring the two on the official SummerSlam promotional material. Triple H is currently scheduled to face Sheamus at the pay-per-view. WWE is hoping that Undertaker will return at SummerSlam but it’s not 100% yet. As noted before, a casket match between Taker and Kane has been discussed for SummerSlam.

Normally I wouldn’t post anything to do with ‘personal life’ on this website however I have been receiving email after email regarding this subject and in the hopes of saving my poor inbox from further battering I have since been able to independently confirm that yes, over the past weekend The Undertaker and Michelle McCool were married in a private ceremony in their home town of Austin, Texas (Not Houston as is being reported elsewhere). Present were close family and friends including a few faces from the business. I would like to wish the couple all the love, luck and happiness in the world.
