Posted by James From Darkside Podcast

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen James here from the Podcast wanting to air some views that I received based on the recent events of this past episode of The Darkside, now first and foremost I would like to apologize to all the listeners for my rash actions on Saturday and going off on a tangent, it was not very professional and It did ruin the overall show for which again I apologize but moving onto the feedback I received

Now I won’t mention names as we all can gather the incident that happened on Saturday but if this person goes onto read this then thank you for your time, but going with the first point he brings up saying that all I seem to do is complain about the way the booking is done and the way the matches play out and all we seem to do is just rant and complain, this is untrue take for example when I said about Kofi and Orton, I said I love how there building this feud and how Kofi is being pushed up to a main event level, I just don’t like the fact that they constantly have a match on Raw because I think it could make the feud become very stale, luckily it didn’t after the match at TLC, but this was before TLC when I made that comment so this was in speculation that it could be really good, so I disagree with the fact that I look for only the negatives in wrestling, take for example I really enjoy Smackdown and ECW and I generally am upbeat about those shows it’s just Raw whilst some of the guest host segments were good in my honest opinion some of them just bore me and I just cannot get myself to enjoy Raw.

That is understandable about ROH, like I say everyone is entitled to there own opinion but because it is now technically a national show and is now competing (not as much) but it is competing for ratings, and plus because I have asked Karl to do this and he has no problem with me reviewing Ring Of Honor so I take it upon myself to review the show.

Okay now getting into what I disagree with highly, now you state that I constantly bash Raw, and at time I do but that’s because what I am saying is my opinion half of these people I do not know and while I accept the idea that you suggest with me researching the giving celebrity, which I may do from time to time, wrestling is quite low on my list of things to do during the week so finding time to research a guest host is something that I just don’t have time to do. Going on about me bashing Raw, well it’s because while Raw has its good and bad days, I just pick up on negative aspects more then positive because when I watch it I am not as entertained as I once was when watching that show. As I said if had some free time to research Raw guest hosts then I would but because I cant that in turn could spoil my entertainment of the show whilst I watch trying to understand why this person in hosting.

Now the next bit whilst it may sound kind of rant like which I ahead of time apologize to it’s something that I find quite wrong to be quite honest and that is that I never accept other peoples opinions….I find this absolutely wrong, like I said wrestling is based on opinions and that if we all had the same opinion then wrestling would be boring but because we all have differing opinions then that’s what makes wrestling what it is today, now while it may seem as if I am forcing my opinion onto people I am not, I still respect other peoples opinion and if I think its wrong I will air my views but I never…NEVER tell people that I am always right and that I also think you saying that I have low respect for other peoples opinion is totally inaccurate, I regard peoples opinion as something integral to the show, now while it may not be your opinion and I may say that in my opinion its wrong that doesn’t mean I have low respect it means I see something differently and that how in my mind wrestling fans work. I do not have people constantly trying to have people agree with me, I may ask people if they agree with me and if they I don’t I generally say fair enough or ill ask why but I don’t force them to agree with me so I apologize about this but your analogy is incorrect.

Now I have talked about this at the beginning but again I want to say sorry for the way I acted and that it was very unprofessional, now I just had a short fuse that night due to other problems I had that day and I was close to just exploding and unfortunately it happened on this person and on the show, again I apologize what I said means nothing it was a spur of the moment problem and again I do apologize due to my unprofessionalism.

This is a rare case of me flying of the handle as this happens rarely whilst live on a show, but thank you for your feedback as it was much appreciated now hopefully we can put this behind us and move onto 2010 with a fresh look of The Darkside and of wrestling in general

Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen for reading this, sorry it was long winded but there was a lot I needed to address so again thank you for reading this

James

Karl, do you mind translating what you understood and agreed to ;-) he he. Do you want me to delete that comment?

Q: What if the Undertaker retired in 1999?
A: He would still remain the greatest wrestler ever, for me.

I followed him through the 1990s in my childhood days and the dominance of the dead-man was unparalleled. The gimmick was the greatest ever and everything was perfect from the entrance to the entrance music to attire to the moves he did in the ring to his style and signature poses. He gave a lot of good/ memorable matches like the infamous HIAC’s, the infernos, the match with Bret Hart, memorables moments like when he flew over the top rope with the ring engulfed in flames during the inferno match or like when he threw Mankind from the top of the cell, etc.
