Digitals | Captures | Watch the Segment on WWE.com

Not a huge amount to report from this weeks Smackdown, however the segment they provided us with does leave us with a few interesting questions. But first the recap. Smackdown was largely Undertaker’less this week (boo) but after two weeks in a row of being beaten down with chairs, who can blame the guy for wanting to take a little time out. He probably went to hang out at the Grave Yard and chill with his pals for a while. He did however transport himself back in the nick of time as during Batista and Rey Mysterio’s match Batista threatened to behead the jumping bean with a chair. It’s Taker to the rescue as the lights go out. You know what’s coming and as the lights come back up, Mysterio is gone and the Deadman is in his place. So begins an unleashing of fury of the like we haven’t seen from Mr Undertaker in a while. He gets the upper hand swiftly and beats Batista all over the ring before threatening him with a chair. Batista takes to his heels and flees ringside, looking back over his shoulder in disbelief as our guy stares him down.

Now this is all well and good, but what does this mean for Sunday? We all know how it normally works. The person losing gets the upper hand the show before the Pay Per View. So is this a little blindside? Will Taker keep his upper hand at the Pay Per View and beat Batista into fleeing back to RAW? (we can only hope). Or will we see the Deadman lose his gold on Sunday? I sincerely hope not. We all know he has to lose it one day, but to Batista? It would round off a pretty bad year for me. So I’m hoping we get an early Christmas gift this Sunday and predicting that the gold is going absolutely nowhere.

I hope.

Now, I wonder if I approached him with mistletoe….

The WWE Should allow taker to keep his title belt for a long time, and not think to give his title belt to Batista, because he will probably retire in 2,010.They should just give him a retirement send off like they did for Ric Flair.Does any one out there have any inside info.,as to if the WWE will for sure b giving Batista Taker”s belt at the RR?Or if that is the case if they will give it back to Taker?

Taker might drop it in the rumble, or will defend the title vs Cena at Mania. That’s the way I see it.

Looks like Kane is Rey’s destroyer and Taker (Kane’s brother) is Rey’s savior!

Hey Dan ….i hope u read this comment….

Wanted to let you know, will it not be a good idea to place “emotion-icons” IN COMMENTS AREA? we Takers fans can express our feelings more remotely if that can be done.
Like, i mean sometimes the “emotion-icons” are one such things which speaks better as a feelings than words do…just giving a personal thought…

Thanks hey!

I Told you… that the Undertaker would ”Tombstone” Batista
I guess that the Undertaker will burry Batista at TLC on Sunday!

Smackdown was awesome!!! I was screaming for Batista to fight like a man and how much of a coward he was. Seeing the look of fear in his eyes was epic. Batista said he saw fear in taker’s eyes but thats not possible. I only saw hate and loathing in Taker’s eyes, but it was the good kind of hate and loathing.

Now about that misletoe…….;)

Well sometimes the guy who gets the upperhand before the ppv doesn’t actually lose, especially when it comes to Undertaker. Most of Take’s rivalry has him get the upperhand leading into the ppv and Taker sometimes never loses. So it’s a toss up.

Another example comes to mind. Before Cybe Sunday 07, Batista got the upperhand on Taker leading into the ppv. As it turned out, Batista beat Undertaker cleanly, after two batista bombs. So if Taker is going to lose to Batista, we will have to see two Batista bombs dished out….or one big ol’ chair shot.

I am so with you on this Jen..this has been the longest running title run for him that I can ever remember. It has been nice and I hope it continues for as long as he can handle it.

OMG the worst thing I have seen in a loooong time. And it was so stupid when Morrison cut himself in the head with the sword!!

Posted by Undertaker_rulz

:) i was wondering where the cut was coming from all of a sudden.
i liked the segment though. however, that’s my personal opinion, I don’t wanna cause any offense.

Yeah I liked the way Taker “took care” of Batista haha :)
it was funny how Taker picked up the chair lol like it’s something light

Someone said Taker being Rey’s savior..
Do you think this means that Rey could barge in and help Taker, with the justification that he had the feeling that he owed Taker sth??

Thanks for the screencaptures jen :)

It would’ve been better if Taker had landed several chair shots on Batista, including on his head. ‘coz Taker really has taken several chair shots in the recent past but not responded with enough in return.

I dont understand….

I’ve never seen a sword in the WWE ring, except maybe when the Berzerker was around in his gothic barbaric persona ;-)
