Sounds good – he has to return to have his long title-reign which was promised to him in 2007 itself (which led to his Wrestlemania 23 victory but couldn’t be continued due to his injury, and couldn’t be continued this year again after his Wrestlemania 24 victory due to whatever reasons).

It is obvious that when he returns, he will feud with Edge to start with so that he can culminate this rivalry after beating him and win the championship from him because Undertaker always has the last word in every rivalry – that obviously means that he will not be a part of the draft so that he can return on Smackdown to claim Edge’s soul, hence he will perhaps remain in the same persona as well before retirement.

Vince added some gimmick mix to it by making it a retirement/ banishment story-line and it could result either way – the fans have become aggressive. After Undertaker returns, Vince better give him his long title reign soon instead of waiting for 5-6 PPVs as he has tested the patience of the fans enough since last year’s beginning, starting with the Royal Rumble 2007 victory – since then everybody is waiting to see Undertaker win and “retain his title” for long.

That’s great news. Looking forward to see our man return. But i personally would like to se a drastic character change this time. Something old or something new ;)

I watched smackdown way back when he was The “Big Evil” and when he came back as the phenom and when he won Royal Rumble 2007 that is when i started watching again, because the true Undertaker is…The Phenom, The Legendary Deadman, that is what he will go into the Hall Of Fame for…and what he is famous for!

I really hope he returns in 5 weeks for the wedding and the first sign is showed, he will surely take Vickie’s Soul!

i’ve got a crazy idea for taker’s return. set him up as a masked wrestler, and put him in a hell in a cell match against edge, either for the title(if he retains at night of champions) or not. the undertaker would basically beat 20 shades of s*** outta edge, and then after he’s announced as the winner, he should take the mask off and reveal his identity. the reason why i suggested a HIAC matchis because it would be in taker’s favor. there’d be no DQ’s and no outside interference. :ponder_tb: it’d be cool if they did this, but i doubt they will :down_tb:

The American badass persona was good, but the original deadman was the best. Something tells me that there going to do something new with a persona. This whole persona thing can go either way.

As someone stated, Taker will return when he’s ready to return. It’s nice to read it may be soon but only Taker can make that decsion if he’s ready to come back. Someone asked, how can he come back when he was bannished? He can come back by the Board’s ok. They’ll realize Vickie is going way over board on authority esp bannishing a superstar from the WWE, which she can not do unless she has the “ok” to do so from the Board. That’s how I see taker coming back. Then the games will begin. He can even be back by the draft … his name is announced then Vickie will be shocked & demand he not return. But Vince will say HE only decides who reurtns or not. Alot of possiblities, alot of games to be played by Taker. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Since ‘Taker is out because of injuries from what I’ve heard, wouldn’t it just make more sense for him to actually heal up from these before pushing himself back into the ring? I’d rather have a healthy ‘Taker who can handle a lengthy title reign. Whenever he comes back, I, as a proud Creature of the Night, will be waiting!

The feeling backstage was that Undertaker needed to take some time off to heal a number of nagging injuries, hence the storyline writing him out of WWE programming. There doesn’t appear to be an exact time frame on his return, but it isn’t expected to be too long. They did a retirement storyline this time around because Vince McMahon didn’t want to go with yet another injury angle. Undertaker has been written out of TV a few times in recent years due to real injuries and McMahon didn’t want to give the perception that his body is breaking down. When Undertaker returns he is expected to resume his long-term program with Edge.

He should return as the Deadman at their wedding. Picture the scene:
Edge and Vicky stood at the altar in the middle of the ring, and the lights out! BONG! BONG! Lights come back up and there’s Taker, stood where the minister was! He kicks the living sh*t out of all of them, and tombstones Vicky.
Vicky has to step down as GM due to injury, so they put Teddy Long in place. Teddy (being fair) puts the title on the line at Summer Slam. Undertaker vs Edge for the title, Hell in a Cell, with Hawkins, Ryder, Chavo, and Bam banned from ringside.

Hello guys… My 1st time on this site… Was trying to see if I could find what the hell was going on with him and why he was gone again… But have some good ideas would want to know what you guys thought of them about his return…

I agree that he should come back and finally be able to get a long title reign as the “deadman”… He deserves it big time… I also think he should retire after a Wrestlemania win and let the streak stay… He could like have someone be a new peonom of some worts… like an apprntise of his or something of that sorts who he kinda passes the “torch” so to speak to after his win at wrestlemania next year…

Which brings me to my next idea which will go with it and work perfectly… He should bring back the Ministry of Darkness… and start obducting / reaquiring members from it then go against Edge, and his cronies and such… I’d actually like to see this happen… I liked when it was the Prince of Darkness / Ministry storyline and think that they should do it again for his last year or so in the WWE…

He could start making it go black and taking people out of nowhere… Then after 2 weeks or so of doing that and messaging on the tron about his return which could be like a week before a PPV have a message show up about his exact return at the PPV… Then a couple days before the PPV have everyone he obducted / made into his new ministry come out all with acolyte robes on making a patch for him then Undertaker come out and everyone follow and revel in the ring that it’s the new ministry and such then fight Edge at the PPV and beat him for the belt… Then hold belt till Wrestlemania then retire / torch pass to an apprentice type afterwords to continue as the new Prince of Darkness in the WWE…

That would be sweet I think… How about you guys what do you think of those ideas?

it is unlikely that the undertaker will come back with the American Badass gimmick, it is more likely that the Undertaker will come back the same and still come back be in a really long-term feud with Edge, as i have read before it is more likely that Vicky Guerrero will be fired and Teddy Long will once again be the General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown!

Hi, 1st time on message board. Been a creature of the night all my life and just wanted to say that Smackdown sucks without the deadman and he will definatley be back before November as he his listed to be apart of the UK Survivor Series tour. Also heard a rumor that he has a long storyline with Big Show coming up after he regains the title from Edge. Also he will either return at the wedding or start to show signs via druids of his return. One thing i’m not sure of so if anyone can confirm that would be cool is that Vicki will be drafted to ECW or Raw and that Vince will take over on Smackdown as he is concerned that fans are getting fed up of the poor storylines involving the deadman until the new Smackdown GM is appointed (rumor Ric Flair).

i highly doubt that the undertaker will come back :sad_wp: :sad_wp: :sad_wp: but i dont digress, he had an amazing run, yet i dont think that edge should have retired him. And alson, i think that they should have had a way better storyline to it.
