Well its a good news thank god our favorite wrestler of all time is not taking time off for the second time this year. I saw his match at no mercy he did attenpt an old school on show which indicates that his knee has healed but if Taker still has problems with his dislocated finger but is not taking time off than wwe should not make him wrestle dark matches atleast until cyber sunday but let him cut promos. And i am so happy to hear that that fat giant Big Slow did not win the world title and even more happy to hear that taker got some payback. Can’t wait to see Smackdown this Friday. C.O.T.N for life.

The report I read said he appears twice. It’s not out of character as he’s done it a few times in the past. Kind of spots like Kane used to do.

I really don’t think his knee was/is as bad as everyone assumed from the “sources”. If it were as bad then true, they would have him wrestle someone like Big Show who doesn’t require any lifting or stress for Taker’s body, but in the match at No Mercy, Taker was moving around very well and i’m sure they wouldn’t of scripted some of the moves into the match that they did if his knee was so bad. I mean they had Big Show knock Taker over the ropes to the outside, landing hard on his feet, Taker jumped off top ropes (Old School) attempt, and look at how fast and easy Taker was running from rope to rope for the flying clothesline. Also the running leg drop on the apron. I

‘m not saying he’s not in pain or his knee wasn’t bad at all, because at spots you could see, for example after the leg drop on the apron Taker leant on the annouce table and looked like his knee was stiff, and also after he jumped off the top rope and Big Show caught him, you can see his knee lock up and he reaches for it after the chokeslam.

I am a regular visitor of this site since a long time although this is my first post .I have been a fan of taker since 1991 when I was only 4 yrs old.
I have regularly been watching wrestling and have to say this ( i dont intend to offend ppl out here ) but it is really clear what WWE are trying to do… Vladymir (or whatever his name is) is being pushed to face HHH for the title (HHH wins!) , we get to see another Big show (big slow is better!) vs Taker match , and khali takes on knoxwille to get a win. I hate the way wwe rape the charecters of their superstars. I mean, Undertaker being knocked out!! ( the same guy who did not even fall at chloslines from Giant Gonzalez! Khali loosing to everybody – the same guy who gave taker a helluva time and did not daze at chairshots from John Cena and lastly and the worse Kane,… look at his debut and untill 2000 he was DOMINANT… he cant take out Rey??? I mean cummon… he took out taker numerous times – with ease!! when he started … and when he was to face taker at wrestlemania 20 , he gave goldberg a hard time… now he gets his ass kicked… its not only disrespecting kane’s charecter , but also taker’s

With the knee, I think its fine. If WWE thought his knee was bad then he would’ve been in a tag match to protect his knee. This was his 3rd singles match, after doing 2 months of tag matches since Hell in a Cell. I don’t see him taking any time off.

Hear hear. I’ve always said these so called ‘sources’ are about as reliable as a car with 2 wheels. Dont believe everything you read. We only report things here because theyre reported elsewhere and we have to, but 9 times out of 10 as Molly Holly once said herself… there is NO way anyone can truly know someones status. They sign confidentiality agreements. Everythings hush hushed, people get fired for talking. So where all this ‘inside info’ comes from has always baffled me. They get ‘angle predictions’ right on guesswork half the time.. and anyone can be right 50% of the time haha. I reckon his knee was sore, he’s worked through it. Yey.

Remember he’s a 43 year old man, and he isnt stupid. He isnt gonna run himself into the ground, his body is his livelihood. Trust him to know whats right for him and what isnt. And stop listening to the ‘insiders’… haha, they make me laugh.

I still think that Taker is not entirely healed, otherwise why was he kept out of action on Smackdown TV after Summerslam, and why was he doing only house-shows/ dark-matches which were tag-team matches. And now that he is just beating Big SLow backstage instead of coming out in the ring and regularly fighting, I think it will still take him some time to completely heal. However, maybe that he will be fit and fine by Cyber Sunday itself instead of Survivor series.

i am happy taker is not taking his time off and appearing this friday night.i think we will have to agree with mayank as he might not be 100% fit but anyways taker is not letting down his deadmanics and we are proud about it.

well to be honest, taker would not take time off untill he has another injury ( which I hope never happens!!!) if he has been working with a bad leg all this time, it does’nt really make sense him takin time off now, when he is definately better than what he was a month ago!! If Undertaker’s knee was a major issue, Vince would have him be taking time off. Like Vince has said, he is the best in the business and they only do the feuds to let him have time off, so the crowd doesn’t expect as much.
So if he is back like he is now, then he is probably doing a lot better than he was to begin with…
however, he did have small limp at No Mercy, but he did deliver his jumping-close line, as well as the ring jump..which required him to use his leg.
If Big Slow wasn’t supposed to win that match, then he probably would end up like Edge right now….Big Slow won via turnbuckle…not via fair fighting.
Which reminds me, have you ever seen ‘Taker use a cheap trick? Eg: take the turnbuckle off, or get a cheap shot when the ref isn’t looking, etc…? I never have and I have been watching for a long time…there is no need for him to do that..Big Slow got scared and knew it was his only chance…

i completely agree. these ‘insider’ people start becoming prominent any time a big name in wwe is concerned with either an injury or a famous achievement of his. for instance, these ‘insider’ people spring up before WMs and start writing baseless things about Taker loosing his streak. when Taker got injured they wrote Heaven and Hell about how disastrous his injuries were and how he will probably never return again. well, for me these writers and their writings are totally unbelievable. you believe them for once and you will be fooled. but sometimes their writings do come true but in a completely different and unrelated way than they had written. those are once in a hundred cases. so forget about what these ‘insider’ people write and just relax and watch and discuss what you see by our own eyes. we are not astrologers and so we must not predict about the future. that is very imprecise. Sure Ed, just around SS Taker becomes unstoppable each and every year. and all are for facing Taker other than between SS and WM. they know that he will sell them then. but no body dares to challenge him between SS and WM. there’s the reason for which i to an extent liked orton when he challenged Taker at WM 21. orton has some guts. and he gave Taker some competition. others just come no near.

The Deadman is not healed,you can tell by watching him.I have been following the Deadmans carerr since he started in Texas and had the priviledge of meeting him.He is a very nice person.He is still moving slowly and kind of limping that is why he has not been in any matches.The Deadman needs time to heal properly.

This feud will most likely finished at Survivor series. Undertaker needs time to heal before royal rumble.

The Deadman looks like he is still hurting.On Smackdown the only reason they kept turning the lights out is so we would not see how bad the Deadman is limping and how much pain he is in.The lights being out help him get in position for his next punch.

When he was in the ring to come out he looked fine. He took a couple steps as the lights went out.

Let me add that, I think the lights going out and Taker being in position after they came on was to make it like every time Slow moved to protect himself, Taker was hitting him from every where.

No, the lights going out were done just for his character and to show that he can be present anywhere and everywhere to hit Big SLow. Big SLow cannot run away from him. I read on wrestlezone.com that at Armageddon, Y2J defends against Batista and Cena in a triple threat match, and HHH defends against Kozlov. Since Big SLow is not on the title scene, it means that Taker would’ve taken him out at Cyber or Survivor, but since Taker is not in the title match either, it makes me think that in a match with Big SLow, maybe that Umaga will interfere and start a rivalry with Taker which will go on till Armageddon. I guess this means Taker will win the Rumble and then only will he start his title hunt.

Taker got booed from the ministry era because a lot of the audience did not like the Satanic rituals, sacrifices, etc. It hurts some people, and the other folks know that it was not real – that was the attitude era and all they wanted to see was great attitude from the wrestlers like what Stone Cold and Rock showed. And since Taker was heel, he also got booed when he feuded with the then-faces Stone Cold and Rock. They should thank Taker that their rivalries with him cemented their popularity – if he had remained a face as during his dead-man persona, the crowd wouldn’t have booed him or supported Stone Cold/ Rock so much. If you see the earlier matches between Taker and Stone Cold during Taker’s dead-man persona, you’ll see that Stone Cold was treated as just another wrestler and there wasn’t any great fan-following for him. Taker dominated him and took away most of the cheers as well.

Taker himself called the ministry as the low point in his career because he joined hands with the corporation, and then the issues started revolving around the McMahons – which will obviously happen when they are involved. So, it allowed the Undertaker to become a part of something which was not derived from the Undertaker, and that was unusual.

When Taker returned as the dead-man at Wrestlemania 20, you would’ve heard the chants and that was enough to make out that is how the crowd loves him the most and that is how most of the people wanted to see him again. That is how he had gained world-fame to begin with.

He looked in very good shape to me. got to see him yesterday on TV. his pace has increased. and he was thundering. i feel that he is okay now. he will now show the world what he is…

Yeah mayank you’re right i hear a thuderous undertaker chant at every wrestlemanias from wm 7-24 except wm 15 (even at wm x8 most of the fans support Taker and i saw almost all of the fans standing on their feet when Taker pinned flair, but Taker was a heel that time)

It would end this issue between Taker, Vickie and Slow. Then Taker can concentrate on the title.

The issue is that Vickie cannot be fired. There is some kind ofcontract between WWE and their wrestlers that WWE will support the family if something untimely happens to the wrestler, I guess. That is the reason why you see Vickie involved so actively in storylines and that too in such a high position.

The only hope is that if she can be moved to another brand like ECW. Teddy Long will be back in Smackdown, and he is so much pro-Taker. I liked the fact that he did the announcing of the Wrestlemania 23 match, and the way he said “And introducing the challenger, he is the PHENOM of the WWE – the Undertaker!”. That was cool. They both go a long way – Long has managed Taker when he was Mean Mark Callous of the New Skyscrapers tag-team in WCW.

Since Taker said to Vickie that he will send her to hell where she can join her husband, I am hoping that the match between Taker and Big SLow will be something where Vickie can also be “involved”. In a casket match, she can be involved in the sense that she can be thrown into the casket with Big SLow (mind you, you need a big casket) and locked/ burnt to join Edge in hell. We haven’t seen a casket match since long, and its so much in line with Taker’s character. Edge can make a return after that, as a face and with no link to Vickie or Taker.

What if they script it so that Edge turns on Vickie, and aligns himself with Undertaker? Remember, Edge did an interview shortly after their HITC match, and said “he would love to form a tag team with Undertaker?” We can only hope that Undertaker will reform the Ministry if he so chooses, but I doubt it b/c personally, he hated the Ministry Undertaker, b/c in his words “he’s a family man and doesn’t want his kids thinking his the Devil…XD!”

I’m sick of hearing the ministry predictions. The ministry was the lowermost point in Taker’s career with fans booing him, and he was losing matches to Stone Cold and Rock. Taker called it the weakest point in his career himself.

As for Edge – Taker does not need Edge to beat Big SLow. He beat Big SLow and A-Train at Wrestlemania with very little help from Nathan Jones. Taker’s tag-teams are not long-lasting, unless its with Kane. He is a singles’ wrestler. Tag teams are for the Edges and the Hardys and the Dibiases/ Rhodes.

She can be fired as General Manager. That doesn’t mean her position and job with the company is over. They can bring her out in a lesser capacity.

I’ve read that elsewhere that when a performer dies the family is taken care of indefinitely. That’s good, it doesn’t mean Vickie can’t be removed as GM. If they did remove her, she would still keep her position backstage with the company. She would still be a character, just without the clout.

They shouldn’t have brought her out to the limelight in the first place. Should’ve kept her backstage. She can’t play any character – good or bad.

She isn’t even the GM of SD in real life. Like everything in Wrestling except the injuries, it’s all kayfabe. Vince ultimately pulls the strings, and it’s a shame all he cares about is haucking his wares instead of entertaining the fans that have made him and his family billionaries.

vickie could be removed as SD GM easily, i feel. if she is to keep her position then she could keep it at another show.

yes, she is just so horrible. i never liked her. she a nagging, disgusting, little piece of crap. in Kane’s words, “a fire that contaminates whatever it touches”, “a fungus that grows in the marshes of your phychae”. yes, that’s exactly what she is. though Kane used it for rey mysterio. but i use it for vg. she can be removed from SD.

I liked the beginning of the Ministry, before it became the Corporate Ministry. After it became ‘corporate’ Taker was just a pawn in Mcmahons’ issues. When it was just the Ministry, Taker was in charge.

I liked the beginning of the Ministry, before it became the Corporate Ministry. After it became ‘corporate’ Taker was just a pawn in Mcmahons’ issues. When it was just the Ministry, Taker was in charge.

Ministry is said to be the downest time of his career. well why then? and can anyone please explain to me what they mean by ‘FACE’ and ‘HEEL’. i cannot get the turning face and turning heel. please explain this to me.

Turning face means when bad guy for example Mr.Kennedy becomes a good guy,heel is a good guy becoming evil or bad guy,for an example Big Show

Ministry days were not as a ‘face’ – Taker was a heel back then. It happened when Paul Bearer hit Kane with a chair and turned on Kane. Then Taker joined hands with Paul Bearer again to form the ministry and Kane turned tweener.

you call all say vickys rubbish but she was brought in to be a heel, that means to make people hate her, in that case she has done a fantastic job of it!!!

They don’t hate her because she is a good heel. They hate her because she cannot even act how to be a good heel. Examples of good heels are Taker during the ministry days, or Edge/ Randy Orton in the current days, or HHH/ Flair during Evolution. They sold their character well to the crowd and could present themselves genuinely as heels. Vickie doesn’t know how to speak.

Taker had quite a few matches while in the beginning stages of the Ministry where he was cheered. People also forget the Sunday Night Heat the week before Mania 15, Taker came in and saved Austin and Foley from the Corporation. They also split a beer. This lead to Mcmahon accusing Taker of collusion with Austin at Raw the next night.

The part of the Ministry he thought was the low point was the Corporate Ministry.

The part of the ministry where he saved Austin/ Foley was very short-lived. For most of the ministry later, he was a heel and losing matches to Austin and Rock. Taker later said the corporate ministry was low because he merged with the McMahons’ corporation and became a part of something that was not derived from the Undertaker. I felt the entire ministry was a low point because though fans did cheer for him even when he was a heel – overall, he didn’t get as many cheers as he used to get in his mortician and dead-man persona but most of the cheers now went to Austin and Rock.

It allowed Austin and Rock to become popular. They hadn’t done as much in the business as Taker had done earlier, and they hadn’t been as dominant as him. But Taker was the measuring stick in terms of dominance – just because he turned heel and the storyline turned against him, those 2 started defeating him and they were accepted as the best wrestlers. It sucked, because WWE ruined the dominance of Taker which they created for a decade. That’s the way the business wanted to go – in favour of the attitude era, but maybe they could still have maintained Taker as a face as they do today and he co-exists with DX, Batista, Cena, etc. The only thing I liked about the ministry was the entrance theme. However, it did give a lot of boys like Edge to come into the limelight. That’s Taker for you – always making others famous.

He said he allowed the Ministry to become a pawn for Mcmahon, that was his lowest point. He said otherwise the Ministry was a good idea. Originally he wanted to face the Crock at Mania 15. Austin got that as we know. Alot of people see that as a low point due to the fact he was a heel. I think it was a necessary step in his progression.

The ministry in my opinion was good for the others who gained popularity with it like Big SLow, Edge, Viscera, Gangrel, JBL, etc. Taker eventually got a lot of boos and the fan following went towards Austin and Rock.

Big Daddy V and Gangrel didn’t reap the benefits like the others did. Slow was a project that still to this day has not shown any improvement from those days.

Though he is pushed more these days than he was earlier.

He’s about to get pushed back to his rightful place in the mid card after Taker wins.
