This is outright humiliation. Knockout? Am I reading knockout? Seriously, is there any top star in the WWE, save for the Undertaker, who has lost by knockout in the first fight of a feud that wasn’t provoked by him?

I’m entirely done with the WWE. Call me fanboy, but that’s who I am. I can’t stand that the greatest superstar in the WWE, a person who just six months ago won his second consecutive World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania and was being frequently called the greatest of all time by all commentators, has now been used to mop the floor for the second consecutive PPV. First, he gets spit in the face, now he loses by knockout to a B-rate superstar (I’m sorry Big Show fans, but he doesn’t belong with Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, etc.). And not only that, but we’ve gotten to see him fight only three times in more than four months, all of which have been, in one way of another, for the worse of his reputation.

I am truly truly appalled by this. At this stage of the game I would not be surprised by anything that the WWE creative team came up with. I say this not without anger, but at this pace, I perfectly see him losing to Ted DiBiase, Jr. at WM25 in his very hometown. Oh, and sure, it’ll be by knockout. DiBiase will knock the Undertaker out and will spit on his face. That’s what’s to be expected from the creative team of the WWE.

WWE sucks lately…every storyline has not been so great.

I like both Undertaker and Big Show so I’m glad it sounded like a good match. I didn’t see it, but hopefully it’ll pop up on the internet somewhere over the next couple of wks? Now, Undertaker can take a couple wks off to nurse his sore knee if it’s bothering him.

I don’t get it. I understand that Undertaker lost but with a punch? So what?! I could survive one of Big Show’s fists. Undertaker should have gave Big Show the Gogoplata when he sat up and grabed Big Show by the throat. That would have been cool to see. Undertaker should have at least won by DQ, with Big Show still exacting punishment. Nevertheless, Undertaker isn’t done. I detect a future HIAC, Casket, or Inferno match. Maybe even a Number 1 contender’s spot for the title. Who Knows? Undertaker can still make Big Show pay, and he will do so!!

Which is why I don’t order PPVs very often. The only ones worth it are maybe WM and ONS. Anything else, I just wait for it to pop up on the internet. How’d Kane do people?

i love taker but fans must realize dat taker is on his last leg and he is doing the right thing by not being as dominant as he once was. He has to let the younger super stars shine now at his expense. come on guys, this is how wrestling has always been, except n wcw when hogan, piper, flair, sting, luger, etc didnt let the young guys shine and look what happened to them. But for this particular match i would have had taker lose by dq or something like dat because its obvious dat the wwe is pushing big show and he will eventually win the title from hhh; its so obvious..and also u had to predict dat taker was gonna lose cause if u know your history, he beat the big show many times without the big show winning any..but these feuds with taker and show r old and repetitive.

deadman looked like a man lost after the match as if he didn’t know where he was.

no mercy, summerslam, unforgiven ppv have all been boring if you ask me.

the only real highlight at summerslam was edge vs taker hiac.

taker seemed to check his jaw if it was not broken or fractured.

The ‘cheap trick’ was ripping the turnbuckle pad off, and slamming Takers face into it. That knocked him silly, then a punch knocked him out.

And ‘Blackdude’… how is putting the Big Show over, good for the company? He isnt a younger star, Big Show & Taker have worked together/feuded since 1998/9 as I recall though its 4am I might be remembering wrong. Big Show has already ‘retired’ once. So he’s not exactly putting over a younger star by jobbing to that sack of lard. I dunno, I dont get it. I’ve seen this feud 100 times already.. so what?

Personally dont mind the KO. Different I spose. Better than another humiliating burial and him disappearing for another 6 months *shrug*

Guys – don’t panic. It only strengthens my belief and makes me feel that what I predicted was correct. First of all, Taker did not lose the match cleanly because SLow used the exposed turnbuckle. Secondly, you all know that Taker lost his last 5 matches at No Mercy (mostly through cheating or interference), so I didn’t expect him to win this one either.

I am happy that now Taker will be able to take some time off to get completely healed from his injuries, and then be back with a bang. None of Taker’s rivalries end so soon – he had to sell Big SLow at least once, and then come back to take revenge and culminate it.

I expect Taker to return at Survivor series (maybe earlier), and then he will kill Big SLow. Then he will go for the title, perhaps by winning the Rumble. It also means that we might not get to see any more boring rivalries like Taker vs Umaga or Taker vs Kozlov, which is good.

Big SLow is in for a real big deal now, when Taker returns. Expect Taker to be firing on all guns.

He did not have his jaw broken off or fractured – he was just selling the injuries of the match that Big SLow gave to him. He is very good at selling his opponents and making him famous. Which is why he will be back and will get his revenge. Be patient, folks. I have lost my patience myself, but I just hope for the best after he is back and healthy for a long title reign. And now it looks more to me like the Rumble is ours.

Cyber Sunday is too early, in just 20 days – I don’t think Taker will return so early. If that was the case, he wouldn’t have lost this match in the first place. He lost it because he needs some rest to heal his nagging injuries. He will take at least 1.5-2 months – expect to see him at Survivor or Armageddon. I expected the masked Kane – that would have been even one better. Anyways, I don’t expect Edge to be involved in any Taker related rivalries now. I heard something from a friend of mine about 2 months ago – just before SS, what he has predicted so far has come true…..he mentioned roughly the edge SS plan (hell etc)

WWE are having problems with the smackdown brand – its starting to make the PPV’s a joke (stick with this)
basically the draft was badly ran due to possible injury problems and peoples holidays (edge for example, also kennedy and umanga being out)

Due to this they are going to make a few DRASTIC changes at s-series. (last weeks smackdown was a test for this – not just to open the new network) – no one on smackdown is really liked – Rtruth took off well but isnt really lasting – same with the russian

Taker will not fight at cyber sunday – needs the rest!

Ok – heres the end result – HHH to lose title at or before S-series. and to be drafted to RAW with one of the other medium names…..and a few of these of these changes…………

Randy orton, Batista,JBL,john cena,cm punk (kane and rey are options but are unlikely) ………….2 of those to go to SD for HHH swap

Finlay to go to either raw or SD (he is missed too much – GREAT crowd fave – same with hornswaggle)

Yes you are right, i honestly think the creative team are getting out of hand, maybe new people have come in and dont fully understand undertakers history, that said i can’t see undertaker accept these kind of outcomes unless something big is coming? maybe another persona change – i hope not.

We don’t need to to panic the only reason Taker lost this match is so that he can take some time off so that he can fix his dislocated finger and heal his knee completely so that when he comes back he is a 110 %. what gets me goin is the facy that we have to listen to jabba and big slow brag at how they defeated and humilated the deadman on sd for weeks now. if taker is taking time off to heel the knee fully then that good but koslov should of being allowed to ruin the match as it would of made the storyline a bit more interesting. this is the first year that undertakers feud has really played out the wwe writers have really sunk to a all time low.

Screwed? Big Show’s the one getting screwed. Undertaker’s been on a “feud winning-streak” for how long now? When’s the last time you saw ‘Taker lose a feud? Big Show’s wasted talent, and finally he’s being used for something in the WWE instead of having pointless feuds with Khali, Mark Herny etc. And yes, SD is something to look forward to. :smile_wp:

The way I see it, Taker and Big show will have a match at Cyber Sunday with some sort of stipulation. He looked pretty good in this match despite being injured. I can only see Taker not wrestling on smackdown instead of disapeering all together. Most Taker/Big Show fueds only lasted a month so this one should not be any different.

Thats another thing I was wondering… I’m guessing his knee appears to be doing better? No one’s mentioned him looking as bad as they’ve said the last few weeks so I’m guessing that’s good news, but correct me if I’m wrong.

i agree with Rajiv. it could have happenned in a more respectful way for at least The Undertaker for what he is. wwe is surely screwing things up. anyway, i do not think that his career is on the verge of ending. these rumours come up every year. these are baseless. Taker can still easily make it to 20-0. he is not at all so bad as some are proclaiming. he is just not 100%. but certainly he is a 95-98%. we should not think of baseless rumours. we should just cheer on for The Undertaker. he is the best there is. he is The Deadman. he has a long time still left ahead in WWE. he will become champion soon.

I think everyone needs to stop getting their panties in a bunch over this. Yeah Big Show won with a cheap shot, but you all good and well that once Undertaker is back to normal, he’s gonna reign hell. And when you think about it, this is a good thing. This is WWE trying to shake things up. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m just as much of an Undertaker fan as the rest of you, but the more Big Show does crap to make us mad, the more happy we’ll be when Undertaker kicks his ass.

Uh no the way i can recall Taker has defeated Big Show 4 times and Big show has defeated The Undertaker 3 times twice with a referee stoppage and once via countout. I am only talking about one on one matches.

Alot of us understand Taker isn’t always gonna get the push. Big Slow got his push last night. Big Deal. I don’t like Paul White due to the fact he is very lazy. You say wasted talent, I agree. He’s wasted alot of his career being out of shape, not taking his craft seriously, and he has been known to whine and bitch backstage. That’s part of why I can’t stand the BIG SLOW.

I have a few reasons why I don’t like Big Slow. They have nothing to do with last night. Paul White has been called a wasted talent. He’s earned it by being out of shape most of his career. He neglects his craft by being lazy, not learning how to be a ring general and he’s an awful seller. The last point is his tendency to whine and bitch no matter his push or position in the company. This is why he’s earned the name BIG SLOW in my eyes.

He has only Taker to thank for his success. Taker mentored Big SLow in the ministry days when they were the tag team champions…. Taker also taught him the chokeslam which became SLow’s most common finisher move. Taker gave him the advice that he should work on becoming thinner and improving his stamina because otherwise he has all the gifts in the world but can’t stand in the ring for more than 10 minutes. SLow took the advice and is in better shape now. Taker created him, in one statement – and he will as well destroy him.

it feels awful. Taker loosing to sLow by KO is the most ridiculous thing that wwe could ever have thought of. the creative team is dull and just look at what idiotic stories they are writing. any other type of loss would have been more respectful. and even the steel turnbuckle hit was not properly sold. so many fans will feel otherwise and say that Taker is weak, which is absolutely false. so i may be happy for Taker getting time to heal, but certainly dont get it why wwe had to KO Taker

I dont think you can get a bigger push than KO’ing the deadman, its for that reason i dont think they could push him so hard for him to go and lose to HHH, i think its a possibilty that big show will win the title from HHH, giving him a break then taker will return to take revenge on big show and take the title to boot. This is the WWES way of giving the Deadman time off to heal his knee.When he comes back there will be a surprise for Big Show.The brothers of destruction have both been getting screwed lately,it is time for some destruction by the brothers of destruction.When the Deadman comes back him and Kane will team together and cause havoc on the WWE.

I think Big SLow might win the title from HHH so that it adds value to his alliance with Vickie, and makes them look strong. That will make a bigger match when Taker returns. But I didn’t want Taker to win the title from a tier-2 star like Big SLow. I wanted him to win it from somebody better.

I don’t think that HHH will allow to lose the title at Syber Sunday,he won’t lose the title anytime soon,i know that fact

Well according to the spoilers Taker made 2 appearances on Smackdown last night. First he chased Khali out of the ring. Second he battled Big Slow to the back.

The WWE title will rarely, if ever, exchange hands on a weekly show like Smackdown, that’s for sure – otherwise the PPVs would lose their significance. So obviously Big SLow won’t defeat HHH for the title at Smackdown, but he could beat him at Cyber Sunday otherwise his entire “push” in this alliance with Vickie and beating Taker will become a waste. Do you think that WWE created that storyline and made him team with Vickie and even beat Taker only to lose to HHH and close it there itself?
