Regarding Taker’s return on Saturday night, one fan in attendance noted that he looked great, despite being out of action for a year and the numerous reports about his health. After the match, fans were chanting “this is awesome” and “you still got it” to The Deadman.

My eyes will be glued to the screen (sadly still in the hospital) for Monday night RAW! Hopefully we’ll get to see The Deadman tonight. Nothing would cheer me up more!
Whatever caused you to be in the hospital, hope you feel better so you can get outta there.

Haha, I can imagine Taker shouting back.. “I never lost it”
I can too. I’d love him to. But realistically, it’s not like him so not even a slim chance of happening IMO as cool as it would be lol. Especially to the small minority of fans who chant “You suck” and “Retire” at him.
You remember when they chanted that last year when he was cutting his promo? I wish he gave some kind of a response to them:
To the ones who chanted you suck: Yeah you know about that, wouldn’t you?
To the ones who chanted retire: Come and make me!
If he was the badass, there would’ve been a better chance of that happening because I remember, I think it was at Backlash when a fan chanted you suck at him and he replied saying your momma sucks. And he also told the WHAT fans to say what if you sleep with your sister. Those clips are on youtube so I check em out for a laugh every now and then.
Speaking of the WHAT’s, I can easily imagine people saying that during his promos.

Well, I said it before- I will be very glad to admit that I am wrong in saying the Undertaker will not be at Wrestlemania 29….I WANT TO BE WRONG. To go to WWE.COM and see the video of Taker coming out to fight alongside Sheamus is very interesting, and hopes he will appear on tonight’s episode. Can’t wait for it.

it breaks my heart that the fans are chanting “you still got it” :( but im so thankful he’s back :)
Why would you come onto a Taker site and say it breaks your heart that the fans are chanting “you still got it”? Why exactly does it break your heart? You want to retire or skip WM or something?

I don’t doubt it. There will always be that small, very small minority group of idiots who will say things like that. Why? Simpy to draw attention to themselves.

Just read up on a report and they are stating the undertaker is NOT in Dallas tonight not sure if its true or not would like to hear your views
Taker doesn’t have to appear physically or at all in any way for the build to start.
Build with no Taker: Punk just has to name drop Taker and say he’d do anything to get respect including ending The Streak if that’s what it takes. And there you go. Build begins despite no Taker at all.
Build with Taker not physically appearing: The can have a GONG go off, thunder roaring to signal his presence. Simple. Build begins with Taker not appearing physically.
Don’t know why people feel Taker needs to appear physically for the build to start. It’d be more effective if he did appear physically and I’d like to see that. But fact is he’s not needed for the build to start. Look at Taker’s build to WM20 and WM21.
For the build to WM20, Kane did most of the work via promos. Taker only appeared via videos and a GONG at the Royal Rumble. He didn’t appear physically till WM20 so it wouldn’t surprise or bother me if he didn’t appear physically till WM29.
WM21….he didn’t appear at all to begin the build. Orton did that himself. Punk, being far better on the mic is more than qualified to begin the build himself.
He simply does not need to appear before. And appearing at WM29, not before would only build more anticipation and lead people to think he’ll skip the show meaning the big surprise factor with the result being one of the massive pops of his entire career and of the entire WM29 event.
As for Taker-Cena….I cannot see this happening before WM30. In terms of money, that’ll be the biggest match in recent history considering it’d be the two top faces going at it one on one. Seems only fitting that they’d save that for WM’s 30th anniversary. After all, the 25th WM got Taker-HBK. The only way I see Taker-Cena not happening at WM30 is if Sting joins WWE to face Taker next year.
As for Punk-Cena tonight, it’s possible the match won’t finish or that they’ll be interference from Rock. One or both of those scenarios ends up happening at the match of RAW. Rock has payback to give Punk for last week so he may cost him tonight.
Those are my thoughts to answer your question, Brad.

I can’t. If you’ve been following Taker’s career, you’d know he doesn’t do that on screen.

Anan those I can totally agree on you kinda read my mind on wrestlemania 20 and 21 I’m looking forward to seeing cena potentially face taker at WM30 in new Orleans :D also I’d love taker to face punk it’ll be a close match as punk is one hell of a wrestler in ring and on the mic thanks for commenting your views aswell much appreciated
I can see why WWE will have Taker vs Cena as I named all the reasons in my previous comment. But in terms of match quality, it won’t be anything special thanks to Cena’s very limited move set which is comprised of less than 10 moves, all of which are the same moves executed in the same sequence order all the time that you know when each move is coming.
Regular Cena or “Super Cena”, it’ll take more than what he’s got to even survive Taker, let alone beat him. Considering his move set, Cena’s not a threat by any means if you ask me.
If WWE can secure Sting, Taker vs Sting deserves to close WM30. Say what you want about them, their health, their age, whatever. But based on the sheer anticipation of it, no other match deserves to close the 30th anniversary of WM. Etienne and I are the only ones who truly believe this match is inevitable to occur someday. And if it’s next year, I will most definitely make the long trip to attend the show. Reports state HHH is trying very hard to get Sting to sign. This is the same guy who, after years and years of turning down WWE’s offer FINALLY got Bruno to accept WWE’s HOF Induction. So I have more faith in HHH than anyone else in signing Sting cause Sting’s issues with WWE aren’t as serious as Bruno’s were. Therefore, he got Bruno so he’s the guy who can get Sting. It’s simple. WWE needs to cater to Sting and give the man whatever he wants and they have WM30′s main event – Taker vs Sting, the dream match of all dream matches. That alone will sellout WM30 in a heartbeat.

Liars, he didn’t return he wasn’t on Monday Night Raw tonight, maybe you guys haven’t watched because of different timezones but I just watched the whole thing so excitedd to see an appearance at least never saw him cut a promo, or heard a gong I thought he was gonna pop out from the darkness once Cena’s and Punk’s match was over
- Jake on February 26th, 2013 says:
Listen friends, it would have been awesome to see Taker tonight but honestly it would be illogical. My opinion is that we will get to see the return in about two weeks time. CM Punk is going to make the challenge next week. Probably along the lines of there will be a greater title than the WWE Championship and that would be THE STREAK. Then, in two weeks, the Undertaker will return to Raw to answer. However, don’t expect to see him wrestle till Wrestlemania though. Just a lot of mind games and great promos.

@ anthony:
A lot of Taker fans are upset tonight including me and they have a reason to be. We watched 3 hours and nothing at all. . . It was good he returned in a house show, but were upset he teased us with that. I mean you do have a point there’s always next week, but WM is really close as well and there might not be enough time for a build-up. Oh and I don’t think he will return with Triple H they already did that before. I’m predicting just by himself or confronting CM Punk or Brock Lesnar for a WM match
- Douglas James Snyder on February 26th, 2013 says:
It would seem that one of my predictions are coming true. Since it is evident that The Undertaker has returned to WWE, I almost had my doubts due to rumors about his shoulder & hip surgeries. But now I see that at WM 29: The Undertaker will take on CM Punk in a battle about respect, The Rock & John Cena face each other once again for the WWE Championship, Brock Lesnar faces the wrath of a returning Triple H, Alberto del Rio puts his honor as well as his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jack Swagger, & I could possibly see a match-up between Damian Sandow & R-Truth. But I’m really glad that The Undertaker is back.
