Age has nothing to do with how well he could look. Sylvestor Stallone is in his mid 60′s and is in great shape. Undertaker is overweight and he knows it, He was in the best shape ever in 2007 at WM, but now his injuries mean he cant lift heavy weights and work out as much… He really needs to hide that gut though… and he seems to have gotten rid of the mohawk thing, totally bald taker looks weird… He needs an attire change as i mentioned. Tight clothes on a fat undertaker is not good. He doesnt look menacing or threatening.

This I have to agree with. The old attire, like you mentioned, would be a lot better for him, in my opinion. I also agree that he has grown a bit fat over the past few years, but I’m still sure he can put on some damn great matches.

Oh, and before I end up getting flamed at by a bunch of people… I just want to say that those are just my opinions. But yes, Taker’ can do what he wants because he earned the right, blah blah blah. I get it. No worries lol.

Here are what other stars said on Twitter.Complete show of respect:
Orton: “Got to watch Undertaker perform in Waco tonight at the #Smackdown live event. Very motivating to watch him do his thing. #Legend Killer”
Barrett: “Hell of a night at #WWEWaco. Expect the unexpected… #WWECollegeStation tomorrow.”
Ricardo: “Can’t describe the feeling we all got here tonight in Waco, Texas after having The Undertaker compete. I legit got goosebumps!”
- Anan on February 24th, 2013 says:
Cool! Just saw the pics and video. This leads me to look at things one of three ways:
1. Taker is not working WM and wanted to perform in TX for the fans that were upset about that.
2. Taker agreed to work WM after this event was finalized and Taker appeared because he didn’t want the fans who paid to see him to feel disappointed.
3. Taker will work WM and did thew live appearance because he didn’t wanna let the fans who paid to see him be disappointed, because he was already in the area anyway, or whatever. If this is true, then the only downside I can see and it is a very minor one is that it will ruin the surprise factor on RAW. Will it matter? No because people will tune in anyway. But all the same, I was kinda hoping the surprise factor would continue. Looks like it won’t now if he is indeed returning to begin his Road To WM, which has yet to be officially seen. At the end of the day, the reality of it is just cause he appeared on a live event doesn’t mean he’s working WM. I’m just saying.
Still, awesome to see The Phenom back. HHH’s words, while true all along, finally meant something a whole hell of a lot more in the form of a Taker match. And he won it too.
@Miziar:
That level of respect hasn’t surprised me for a long time now. Of the three tweets, Orton’s had the most respect as he said it was motivating. Hopefully it’ll motivate Orton to avoid anymore trouble cause one more wellness violation and he is terminated. Ricardo’s tweet….nothing new there. Everyone, whether they love or hate Taker gets goosebumps whether they wanna admit or not. That’s just one of the many factors of his untouchable, awe inspiring presence. Barrett’s tweet really had nothing to do with Taker. But when he was right when he said to expect the unexpected regarding Taker’s non-WM appearances.
The video upset me a bit. I have to admit that. They probably did what they did to keep the surprise factor as long as possible. But the news is all over the internet. WWE knows that. Yet their video is a 45 second clip that ends after he walks out. If you’re gonna post his appearance, might as well have everything in the clip lol. Hope we’ll get a longer clip soon. I’m not complaining or anything. I just had to get it out though.

Mohawk. I can never been Taker going completely bald like Austin or Goldberg, not that I have a problem with that. Bald or not, Taker is Taker. That fact is common sense, plain and simple as that.

That’s an update I’d like to see next. “Taker Returns To Raw”. That would be great, and the best part, no more rumors… Just concrete updates for the next 6 weeks.
Cue Vince Russo’s take on all of the little Sites who’ll try, in the next few days, to bullshit everyone by saying they knew about last night all along…
From looking at the pictures, he looks good. Yeah, he’s heavier. Big deal. He’s soon to be 48 years old in a month. The body’s metabolism slows down as you get older. It’s inevitable. Did the extra weight affect him last year? Not at all. Yes he still has the mohawk. Big deal. The best part is he hit old school in one of the pictures. That’s nice to see. All I can say is get ready…
Anyone want to bet that Raw’s ratings will be much higher tomorrow than what they’ve been recently due to this news? I say if he does return on Raw, he returns in segment #1 tomorrow night.

I don’t care when in the show he returns. But if it were up to me, I’d have him last just to send the people in attendance (and those at home) off with a happy ending. just like his return last year after The Rumble PPV.
He hit Old School at WM28 too which made me glad cause I was actually beginning to miss it lol.

Yeah I know. I’m sure the match will make it’s way onto youtube sometime. Just a matter of waiting. Live events are always on youtube.
Can’t always go by what WWE says. They have their reasons for saying/posting things. They can easily be posting things to get people to tune into RAW. But that doesn’t mean he’ll be there. Yeah, the fans will be pissed of they watched a 3 hour show for nothing as will I. But in the end, WWE would have done what they set out to do – draw viewers to increase ratings. THat’s what they’re supposed to do because without viewers, they’re nothing. Get what I mean?
With that said, I’ll believe he’s working WM when I see him return on RAW. Not before.

Like all athletes who have a lay-off, he was probably just seeking a chance to get in a good work-out, with him being a little out of shape he might want a bit of a “run” in WWE to get himself back in shape, he will never be the 1997-98 Undertaker again, but he could get himself in good condition, Hulk Hogan kept himself in great shape when he was out of action so I’m sure Taker could do the same

WWE has been very clever here, just imagine what the ratings are going to be for RAW tomorrow, everyone will be tuning in to see Taker. Vince showing his business acumen again.
Too bad he doesn’t do it all year long lol!. I’m willing to bet if he did, WWE would be much better than it is now. Don’t get me wrong. The matches in recent years have proved that WWE have been upping their game as far as the matches go. It’s the storylines, tag division, Women’s division that needs massive improvement, managers need to return and they need to stop using the music they’re using for their shows/PPV’s and get Johnston to compose songs for the shows and go back to using production music for PPV’s. I don’t know why they haven’t used the 90′s classic Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and Summerslam themes for those respective shows?
Managers….if NXT could do for managers what it’s done for wrestlers, while it may not be as effective as the territories, NXT would at least get managers some experience before getting on out TV’s. I like the fact that they brought Dutch Mantel back. I just hate who they paired him with. They HAD to have him paired with Swags of all people. Wow. What a complete waste of talent. As far as Swags goes, by the way, I like his old theme better than the current one. Had to throw that in to end the comment.
This isn’t really a rant. It’s more of saying how in a fan’s eyes, how WWE can be better.

This is great news…. But I won’t officially get excited till I see him on Raw…. I could be wrong, but I think this is a really good sign for us all.

While it does help, fact is one match can’t eliminate ring rust. Especially a tag when you’re having to let your partner get some action instead of doing all the work yourself. That goes for Taker too as great as he is since he hasn’t been in the ring since WM28 which was a year ago. He was in the ring at RAW 1,000, but I don’t count that as it wasn’t a match, but rather just a squash segment or whatever you wanna call it. Plus, he was working with Kane that night too.
Rock’s in the ring shape he’s in cause he trains in the ring with Joe Henning whenever he finds free time to do so. I don’t think he deserves to be in the position he is currently in. But I can’t deny that he’s in great shape so all that training must be paying off. I’m not saying his movie schedule taken a back seat or that wrestling has become priority #1. But with the shape he’s in along with the amount of movies of his that’s set to be out soon, seems as he’s jogging between both without putting one ahead of the other. That’s not bad as the physical activity he’s been doing for his movies have allowed him to remain in the physical shape he’s in.
I believe Taker is doing the same as it’s part of the preparation for WM. Even for those who don’t have ring rust. In fact, I think everyone does it all year whenever they have time to avoid getting ring rust although wrestling on the shows helps avoid that anyway.
I’m glad you’re taking the wait and see approach to getting excited as I am. Smart decision :)

Can’t wait for RAW tomorrow. Looking forward to his return (if he chooses to). Normally when a typical Damien Sandow or Wade Barrett match comes on, I don’t pay too much attention because I personally don’t like either of those 2 guys. But seeing how Undertaker was in that match, I would have enjoyed it. I hope Taker’ works some tag matches on RAW, or maybe even some singles matches if he’s up for it. Those matches alone would draw in lots of viewers.

Taker’s not working anymore matches till WM. The live event was an ultra rare exception. That’s the downside – when people see Taker once, they want him more without considering the man’s health and other things in his life.

No worries dude, I know what you meant so you didn’t really have to explain XD. You sorta misunderstood me though. I guess it was my fault for not really explaining it well. But what I meant to say was that it would be Taker’s decision if he wanted to work tag matches or singles matches on RAW just for the sake of entertaining the fans and if he thinks that he’s healthy enough to do so (it doesn’t even have to be against some top star. It could be against a mid-carder). Of course, nobody is expecting or forcing him to wrestle on RAW or SmackDown, but if he himself thinks he is healthy enough, then he may or may not go for it. His decision. But if he chooses to wrestle on a show thats not WrestleMania, then I’ll take it. So it’s not the matter of seeing him once and then wanting more. It would be cool if he did, but even if he doesn’t, I’m not gonna go on some rampage or something. But the bottom line is that it’s his decision whatever he chooses to do. That’s all I meant to say.

Only i wonder of the rumour he faces punk is any nearby truth have the feeling they gonna make wwe title match triple treath cause then rock can look strong wen he loose at least stronger cause he is also at summerslam and next years mania. But i think if you see the time till mania punk is only option cause they need not a long build cause of punk instantly repsect bagging.

If the house show was not being held in Texas, then I doubt Taker’ would’ve showed up. He probably doesn’t enjoy all the travelling anymore like he used to.. I mean, if I was 48 years old and in the wrestling business for over 20 years, I would damn sure be tired of traveling every single day. I’m pretty sure it gets very tiring at that age.

Yeah. Looks like I did. It’s clear so I got it now.
I agree with you about the fact that perhaps Taker doesn’t wanna travel so much at his age. I wouldn’t want to either regardless of where I was working for almost 30 years. By that time, I’d have the ability to ask for a less busy work schedule and so, I’d go for it. JR says that he doesn’t miss it and cites the traveling as for why he doesn’t wanna work full time anymore, but would if asked to. I’ve said it a billion times, If there is one event for JR to call, it’s WM. If one match only, then it’s Taker’s, hands down.
You say that you doubt he wouldn’t be at the live event if it wasn’t in TX. I agree to some extent. I think he was at the show because he was in the area. If he was in Tampa, Florida which is where he lives according to JR, then he possibly wouldn’t have made the show. That’s purely my speculation though.

JR thinks that Taker’ lives in Tampa..? That’s strange. Well I wouldn’t know.. I mean, all along, I thought he lived in Houston or Austin, Texas. And in regards to the traveling, even if Taker’ was healthy enough to wrestle some matches on RAW, he still probably wouldn’t do it anyways because of the traveling. My guess.
My guess. Flights can get very tedious. Last summer, I went on a flight from Toronto, Canada to LA, and by the time I arrived in LA, I was exhausted.. and I’m only 19!
I don’t know if JR thinks or knows about Taker living in Tampa. He has a private ranch in Texas. That was seen during the Sara storyline. But people don’t necessarily live where they were born. Taker left his hometown of Houston to live elsewhere like Tampa if JR is right. Lots of people do it. It’s normal. JR’s blogged about Taker a lot and stated more than once that they communicate with each other. Usually, their conversations revolve around college footfall and the talks result with a bet between JR’s OU Sooners and Taker’s Texas A&M University football team. He also says Taker asks for his BBQ products from time to time. So he does have communication with him. Therefore, Jr would know best, better than us as to where The Deadman lives.

If you want Taker more than once a year, go to youtube.

Rumors also stated the strong possibility of him skipping WM. I choose not to believe that or any other rumors. With Taker, you really have to see to believe rather than go by reports. Fact is he’s that mysterious. Just when you think you got him figured out, he leaves you in a state of wonder again.
