    Taker’s Status For Raw Tonight
Date: January 14th: By Ed Burns: 8 Comments

Contrary to a report posted earlier, The Undertaker’s status for tonight’s Raw 20th Anniversary show is still not confirmed. There’s a chance he’ll be at the show, but whatever his role would be is still up in the air.

    - Many legends from the 20-year history of Monday Night RAW are expected tonight. WWE has been teasing that Ric Flair will be in attendance to confront WWE Champion CM Punk. Jim Ross has confirmed he’ll be at the show.

Texas natives Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker are also strongly rumored for the show. –

@Ed Burns: The article I posted did state that Taker was confirmed. However, on the chance they might be wrong, I filed it in the Rumormill category as all reports should go because despite what the reports state, they can’t know for sure what’ll happen.

With that said, PWInsider’s track record is one of few decent or good ones on the entire internet.

It’s just my opinion. Regardless of whatever happens tonight, we’ll have to wait and see as it relates to Taker tonight. But I do feel there’s a very strong possibility of a Taker appearance as he will likely be backstage since the show’s in his hometown. I mean, why would he be backstage on a RAW shoe that emanates from his hometown if he’s not gonna be on the show? If hes’s not gonna be on our TV’s, perhaps he’ll just visit and leave before the show’s over.

Too many sites reporting too many different things at once. It’s why you can’t put 100% trust on any reports regardless of their track records. Anyone who does is wasting their time.

I know you probably won’t, but I just have to say that don’t want you to think I posted something that’s too far fetched to be true which is why I stated mist of the above. Our bond here is pretty good. You, me, etienne, The Professor (wherever he’s been), one or few of the Deadman users (there’s multiple users with the words Deadman on their usernames), RIP2020, Maziar, xikar, Renzo are really good and I’ve got a great relationship with all or at least most of them. And I fully intend to keep it that way even if we disagree at times. I may be unintentionally leaving some users out of this list of good ones (apologize to those of you, if I have.)

      @ Anan:
It’s kind of like what Vince Russo says… “Best thing about when big angles happen, is when a bunch of little sites want to give a bullshit story saying how long they knew about it.”

I think it’s apt for the rumors going into tonight’s show. I think we’ll still put up a Raw Live Discussion topic just in case Taker does appear on TV tonight.

If Taker’s expected, but doesn’t appear, how many retraction stories will we see tomorrow about how WWE didn’t know where to use Taker?

I agree with him. No doubt. Does get tedious, dragged out and annoying at times though. Especially when you have everyone saying different things at once as always, all reports lead to speculation and opinions, which can turn into debates which at times, spiral into arguments and whatnot lol. Still, despite all that, he’s right.

He’s seen it a lot since he used to write a lot of material for Raw, and TNA Impact. In this era of Internet, and Spoilers, it’s gotta be a pain in the ass for the writers with all of the “leaks”, and these kids in their mother’s house writing how they knew angles would happen… Sometimes they almost take credit for it when they really knew nothing about it.

      Agreed on that.

To go off topic here for a bit, it’d be cool of tonight was commercial free and like the recent RAW set that was released, that on the RAW 20th dvd, they add backstage stuff as an extra (longer than 5 minutes) just so we can see what happens there. Obviously due to character, Taker’s not gonna be seen. But I’ve love to see people talking with various things in the catering area or anywhere, young talents getting advice from the veterans and legends, and things like that. I’m surprised this made it to the set as Vince doesn’t like the business exposed as that extra allowed us a glimpse into the making of RAW 1, 000 thereby exposing things a bit. I mean, he was likely ok with it since it was an dvd extra. But, I don’t think he really wants us to see what I’ve suggested.

I wish Raw would be commercial free tonight, that would be ballsy, but WWE signed a media deal today with the Broadband Carrier Cleanwire. Obviously they’ll ram that down our throat with every commercial break they’ll have. I wonder, though, whatever happened to the Touts? I think that was a failure.

      @Ed Burns:
I thought they were still going. I think WWE aired on one of their shows or posted on their youtube page a tout featuring WWE on screen talent giving their New Year’s resolutions.

Maybe they did stop. I’m not sure if they did or not though. Maybe the just stopped showing it on TV, but are still putting it on their youtube page? What I noticed was that Instagram atopped. I think their new policy or whatever that stated that you could purchase photos of other people played a part in it’s end. A lot of people including my friends, family and I have stopped it too. What an invasion of privacy!! And for what? Money!!

What annoyed me was how many times they were saying to use the WWE App, download the update and then told us how to do it like a thousand times during the Slammy show. I mean, really lol. THat’s really ramming it way down our throats lol!!!

Yeah I read about that media deal so that is expected, no doubt. But WWE did do a commercial free show in 2010. I think their first one was in 2008 or 2009 though where Trump was involved with it. And yeah, it would be damn ballsy for sure. Something WWE’s capable of. Just felt this would be a show to pull it off on. With with media deal though, I agree that it’s unlikely. They should’ve saved that media thing for a regular episode though if you ask me.

We should continue this via forums. But they’re still down as far as I know as I didn’t work for me today. Guess Steve’s still not found, huh? So I guess that frees people up to go off topic for a bit till the forums go back up unless Jen or one of the mods state otherwise.
