The Undertaker is an American professional wrestler signed to WWE. He is the company's most tenured performer, and he's also the only remaining active competitor from the very first episode of WWE Raw in 1993. The Undertaker : 22 years
Date: November 19th: By Jen: 25 Comments

Greetings from the Dark Side. This will be short and sweet and hopefully coincide with the events of tonight. Tonight is Survivor Series 2012. 22 minutes away and it is the 22nd anniversary of the Phenom, the Undertaker. I predict a return. If it doesn’t happen tonight, complain about it in the comments. If it does, well you know who said it here first. Long live the Undertaker and happy anniversary to the greatest character in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment or any wrestling promotion this side of the universe, the phenom! Whether it happens or not, it is inevitable in my opinion that we are upon the last days of the dark side. For better or worse. Be in celebration, not mourning. Cheers to the creatures of the night. DONG!!!

I can’t believe the amount of people who commented thinking that Taker runs or watches this website. I’m not complaining, it’s amusing.

You’ll see him when he decides to return. Not before.

Who’s going to induct the Undertaker into the hall of fame, 2013?

When will they have Undertaker appreciation day on Raw?

    • karentaker on November 20th, 2012 says:

It’s a shame that Taker didn’t appear at Survivor Series last night. But it would brilliant if our beloved deadman makes to the Royal Rumble. It’ll be great to see him on TV again.

How do you know he’ll be inducted in 2013? I think the inductees get to choose who inducts them. My common sense tells me the only logical choice is Paul Bearer.

Probably after Taker’s ring days are over. can’t see it happening before due to his character. Plus, HBK didn’t have an Appreciation Night to the best of my memory till after he retired.

And who knows? Maybe Taker won’t want one. Won’t happen if he doesn’t want it to. I don’t see Taker as being the type of guy who would want a whole show or event to center around or be dedicated to him like that.

It’d be great. But reports state this is the backup plan if WM29 doesn’t work out. If I had to choose one over the other, I’d pick WM as it’s a guaranteed win for him at 21-0. Royal Rumble….no guarantee he’ll win. And yeah, wins and losses don’t really count for Taker except WM. But why show up on a show where he can lose versus a show where he’ll likely win?

Can he do both? Possibly. It’s up to him though.

Undertaker’s career and accomplishes are simply phenomenal, He’s done everything imaginable, and has nothing left to prove to any of us “Creatures of the Night.” He’ll be back when he’s good and ready, and healthy. The last thing we want is for Taker to rush his return as he’s done in the past, only to have his push peter out, or have him end up with a serious injury. TWISI, is Taker’s far from done, and if managed right, he’s got maybe 3-5 years left. This is if he’s healthy, and one of the secrets to his longevity is he takes frequent breaks. Plus him and the old lady had a baby so I’m sure real-life stuffs more important than wrestling.

How is it an anniversary of a guy who works 1 match a year? that’s not even part time! not saying he hasn’t earned that right but ‘Taker is an attraction these days no more no less IMO.

Even though he’s currently not on TV, it’s still an anniversary as Taker hasn’t officially retired yet.

No Taker hasn’t retired yet, and the fact neither Undertaker himself or WWE haven’t even announced it yet probably means he won’t for a while to come. I am hoping he would probably be around for the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 29, as we only get to see him about once a year. Oh, before I forget, I’m going off subject a little bit here. What is happening with the forums page? The reason I asked that question is nobody seems to be posting anything on there anymore, and I’m wondering if it’s going to take to long to find something on there. I may even forget my login password. Anyway back to Taker. I hope to see him back soon, fit and healthy, because I miss him.

Of course he’s a HOFer. Not denying that by any means. ANyone with an ounce of a brain who’s followed even a portion of his career will be able to tell he’s without a doubt a HOF lock.

I.C./U.S. Titles…..Taker could pursue anything he wants to. But Titles, especially these two are beneath him. He doesn’t another Title to validate his career. He’s been a legend before he was acknowledged as a legend on TV.

We all want to see Taker return soon as possible and remain on our TV’s as long as he can. But many who claim to be fans still don’t realize the he has the right to do what he wants. And for the people who can’t or won’t accept that, well it sucks for them and it’ll keep sucking for them till they get an actual life. He’ll return when he’s fit, healthy and when he chooses to.

Whether he’s retired or not has nothing to do with it. Long after he’s gone, Survivor Series will still be known as his anniversary. As always, Taker highlights will be shown in the PPV opening video and at some point in the PPV, they’ll mention that he debuted at the event. I hope at some point, they mention his won over Hogan knowing how big that was then and to some extent, it still is.
