Hey guys, as you can see PhenomForever.com is now sporting a brand new look courtesy of the extremely talented Cristy from Daxter Studios… something fresh and fun to usher in a new era for the website. A few thing’s are still being tweaked so bear with me.

I’d also like to welcome aboard new staff member Terry! As you can see he has already posted one blog so far and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. He’ll be providing articles and columns to get people talking, so agree or disagree, get in there and have your say!

We hope you enjoy the changes (and the ones still to come) and keep your eyes on the site for more new features and even competitions coming up!

The Angelus (Undertakers Top Charity)
Filed in Site Update, Undertaker News. Posted by Jen on May 27th, 2010. Add Comments? [8]

So, being as we are the internet’s largest Undertaker fansite (and in fact largest wrestling fansite) it’s been our job to bring you all the latest on the big mans career including tours and images and magazine scans, candids, videos.. anything and everything. Which is why after viewing Miguel’s video yesterday I decided to put up a permanent link to The Undertakers favorite charity, The Angelus. Who are they and what do they do? Here’s the blurb from their website.

The Angelus is a “place to live, to love, to learn”. It is home for severely handicapped persons who are not able to care for themselves. All of the residents and students have cerebral palsy and all use wheelchairs. Some are non-verbal, some are blind, some are deaf, some are mentally retarded, some have normal intelligence, but all understand and need kindness and love.

You can read more about their activities by visiting their official website TheAngelus.com.
While you’re there, why not show your support by donating whatever you can. I’ll be keeping an eye on the site and if further Undertaker related events crop up I’ll be sure to promote them here on PhenomForever.com

Just a quick note under the new ownership, we no longer need Undertaker news Updates to be emailed in to us. You can still email us if you find something obscure out there on the internet that we’ve missed, but general news and updates such as reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and other Wrestling news sites no longer need to be sent to us. Thankyou.

P.S. Please continue to send in your pictures! Candids, scans, autographs, fan art.. the works! Full credit given of course.

Moving On..

As you saw in the previous post our fearless leader Dan has stepped down from his position here at PhenomForever.com and the reins have been handed to me. It’s not something I take on lightly, I know what it feels like to pour your heart and soul (and money) into a project and then have to let it go because life moves on without you sometimes. It’s hard to do. So hopefully I can cushion the blow a little and say to you, Dan, thankyou for everything. You’ve created something quite unique, not many fansites last, especially not garnering the recognition this one does. You’ve built it from nothing and we’ve all been very thankful. I would also like to thank you especially for taking me on, letting me spread my madness in articles and going crazy on the gallery. I’ve had a lot of fun, and I hope to just carry on where you left off. Do not be a stranger!

And to you the visitors, dont worry I wont ramble on for ages. Just want to announce that there will be a few changes made. The staff’s switching up a little (except on the forums, they remain the same) with Mayank apparently also stepping down. I’m bringing on Katy who’s done loads of work over on NickNemeth.net and MichelleMcCool.net for the past three years or so. She’s an awesome writer and will definitely bring in a fresh ‘wrestling addicts’ point of view to things. We might all be Taker addicts, but she’s plain Wrestling crazy! Expect to see articles and exclusives from her.

I’m afraid the Blogs will become a thing of the past however I will continue to have them submitted via the forum. The ones that really stand out and say something definitive on his career etc, will be posted on the main site as a ‘Special’. So keep writing! This is just to save repetition on the front page, as happened around Wrestlemania.

Katy and I will be brainstorming and coming up with lots of new features and things to keep us busy and talking through the Undertaker ‘dry spells’, so hopefully we can do what Dan started some justice.

So welcome aboard Katy, and thanks for everything Dan. It’s been a pleasure.

Well, This Is It

I’m off. After 8 years of running PhenomForever.com I’ve decided to step down as the owner of the site. And that’s the important point, I’m stepping down, PhenomForever.com is not closing. The site will continue as it has always done with an energized new owner full of their own ideas to take PhenomForever in a new direction.

PhenomForever.com has become the largest wrestling fan site in the world. The world. That’s a pretty big statement! As I’ve said before that is both a testament to the number and loyalty of Undertaker fans. But I’d like to think my ability to maintain the site and draw in new visitors has really helped get PhenomForever.com.

I’ve poured so much time, effort and money (which I’ve since recouped via the excellent Google Adsense) over the years, that it was quite hard to let go of this website, but it’s something I need to do. I simply have no time to do the site justice anymore. I could continue to maintain the site with the help of some excellent volunters, but it’s not fair, the site needs an admin who’s willing to put some decent time into the running of things. I also watch absolutely no wrestling now, I’m so out of touch and disinterested in the wrestling world I feel like a phony engaging in online wrestling discussion – I just haven’t a clue what’s going on. I still love ‘Taker and when he returns I’ll watch his segments on YouTube, but that’s it. The final reason for my departure is that my desire for running the site has completely gone, I see it as a chore and nothing more now. It’s not fair to myself or the visitors to maintain a site I can’t be bothered to run any longer.

So the new owner? Who is it? Jen will be the new owner of the site. She already helps moderate the newsboard, writes up her own results, runs the entire gallery and has been with the site for years. She’s the perfect choice as the new owner and I hope you welcome her. You can contact Jen at jen@phenomforever.com with all site related queries. My old address dan@phenomforever.com will become redundant shortly, but I’ll still be around in the forums and possibly the newsboard from time to time if you want to catch me.

I’ve made some friends, engaged with the odd psychopath, deciphered thousands of illegible emails, locked hundreds of threads, had some great ‘Taker and also non-’Taker related discussions and so much more. It’s been a great experience in all and with that I say good bye.

Mapping The Deadman’s Career

Brian needs your help with the following:

I was wondering if you and your viewers could help me out. This year will mark the Undertaker’s twenty solid years in the WWE as an active wrestler. Think about it he’s been in the company from Hulkamania to the New Generation to the Attitude Era to the Brand Split to the modern era. From what I can tell he’s wrestled in 48 states (minus Wyoming and Montana), all the Canadian provinces, all populated continents and over 50 countries.

In honor of his 20 years, I’m looking for where everywhere he’s wrestled. www.thehistoryofwwe.com has been a godsend for me. Thanks to them, I found nearly every match he wrestled in WWE. (Right now he’s ranked as having the second most matches from 1980-2010 only behind Bret Hart.

I need your help in his pre-WWE years. I’m looking to find as many matches and different cities and countries he wrestled in WCW (as Mean Mark Callous), CWA/USWA (as Master of Pain and the Punisher), World Class {Texas Red), Central Illinois Wresling (The Commando), and New Japan (Punisher Dice Morgan)

When I’ve found as many as I can I hope to make an online map with all the cities.

Thanks

So if you know of any matches and/or cities he’s wrestled in, in his pre-WWE days, post them here.

We’re going to try something different this week and stream the Beyond The Mat podcast from the new PhenomForever podcast chatroom.

There’s three reasons for this: 1) No registration – just visit the chat room and listen live. 2) The hosts will have more control over the chat room so they can easily ban trolls 3) You won’t have to restart your browser every 10 minutes because TalkShoe causes an error. If all goes well, we’ll continue to do it this way.

The show airs live every Saturday at 10pm UK / 5pm EST, visit the Podcast Chat Room to listen live and/or join the discussion.
