Triple H has been removed from the SummerSlam promotional poster and replaced with Big Show. The Undertaker is still featured, indicating he will be back for WWE’s biggest event of the summer. Hunter was scheduled to return at SummerSlam but it was pushed back when he underwent surgery last week for a torn tendon.

Return Update: ‘Touch and Go’
Filed in Undertaker News. Posted by Jen on July 13th, 2010. Add Comments? [9]

This isnt really an update but more speculation. They’re saying they’re unsure when he’ll be returning basically, so take all with a grain of salt as per usual. He’ll be back whenever he’s back people!

According to F4WOnline.com, there is no guarantee right now that The Undertaker will be healthy enough for a return at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV as originally planned.

The report claims it will be touch and go, and the next set of tapings post-PPV will decide whether or not he’ll be able to return in time or not.

Uh Oh, They’re In Trouble
Filed in Undertaker News. Posted by Jen on July 12th, 2010. Add Comments? [19]

This is perhaps one of the most ridiculous stories I’ve read in a while and I wasnt even going to mention it here on the website but seeing as how it’s been reported everywhere now I suppose we could use the giggle. ‘Apparently’ the powers that be are annoyed by wrestlers having personal lives (how dare they) and the fact a photograph surfaced of ‘Takers recent wedding has upset some that are still living in 1990. It’s still real to them dammit! Anyway, here’s the story. Take it with a grain of salt.. or laugh at it.. whichever you prefer.

Examiner.com is reporting that WWE officials were said to be furious when a photo of The Undertaker’s recent marriage to Michelle McCool leaked online. The report notes that WWE officials are not upset that the two got married, but that the leaked photo breaks kayfabe and ruins the current “vegetative state” story line that WWE is running with The Undertaker.

As we reported before, The Undertaker takes his WWE role very seriously, and as such he did not attend the UFC 116 event in order to protect the story line.

Return Update

- The returns of Triple H and The Undertaker have been brought up this week with WWE featuring the two on the official SummerSlam promotional material. Triple H is currently scheduled to face Sheamus at the pay-per-view. WWE is hoping that Undertaker will return at SummerSlam but it’s not 100% yet. As noted before, a casket match between Taker and Kane has been discussed for SummerSlam.

Hells Bells!

Normally I wouldn’t post anything to do with ‘personal life’ on this website however I have been receiving email after email regarding this subject and in the hopes of saving my poor inbox from further battering I have since been able to independently confirm that yes, over the past weekend The Undertaker and Michelle McCool were married in a private ceremony in their home town of Austin, Texas (Not Houston as is being reported elsewhere). Present were close family and friends including a few faces from the business. I would like to wish the couple all the love, luck and happiness in the world.

Revised Return Plans + History Note
Filed in Undertaker News. Posted by Jen on June 15th, 2010. Add Comments? [58]

The following are from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Interesting stuff!

On the predicted Summerslam Return:

Right now the plan is Undertaker vs. Kane in a casket match at SummerSlam. Originally it was going to be Undertaker vs. Swagger for the title. I guess that means as of this week the idea is that Kane attacked his brother all along, and they’ll get that feud over with before moving Taker into the program with Swagger. This could and likely will change several times.

On ‘Quinton Jackson’ incident:

Quinton Jackson went nuts on his Twitter last week about how much fun he had on Raw, how awesome everyone was, how he had the time of his life and how he wanted in. And that’s doing shitty comedy, imagine if they actually booked him as a killer. He said he wanted to go back so bad as Rampage and hit someone with a powerbomb. Quinton was a gigantic fan growing up, and then one day when he was a teenager he ended up at an event and tried to get an autograph from Undertaker. Taker blew him off, and then a few minutes later Rampage caught him signing an autograph for another kid and he was crushed, and that was pretty much the end of his love for wrestling. Years later when he was a big MMA star (Taker is a huge fan) they met up again and talked and everything was cool. But realistically, had that not happened I suppose there is a chance that Quinton might have tried to get into wrestling instead of MMA.

Injury Update #2
Filed in Undertaker News. Posted by Jen on June 11th, 2010. Add Comments? [47]

The Undertaker underwent surgery this past week on his damaged orbital bone. As noted before, the talk is that Taker will be brought back for the SummerSlam pay-per-view. At last word, the plan was still do to Taker vs. Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Title.

No more concrete word on this, just some speculation from SEScoops.com, I’d say with a broken orbital bone this is a fair estimate.

The Undertaker is expected to be out for several months due to this injury. The latest talk is that SummerSlam is an optimistic return date for the Undertaker’s return, but other plans will be made in case he needs more time off.

… Resting (Up) In Peace

I cannot believe I’m actually going to have to post this but in response to a plethora of email’s I’ve received since the airing of Kane’s dramatic segment on Smackdown last night, I have to. No, The Undertaker, Mark Calaway, is not dead. He’s at home resting up and healing a busted eye socket. Do not fret, you haven’t seen the last of him.

Now I have to go laugh hysterically.
